Ok thanks, probably before I even bought my truck I bet. Guess I will hold out for the tuner and 2.0 before purchasing.

 

Y'all got any more of them dump tubes? Not sure how long it has been sold out.

 

Last post from Mat said that the response to the 4th of July sale was greater than they anticipated. OVTune is waiting on the manufacturer to complete production of those orders.

 

The handhelds never shipped at all, AFAIK. My handheld pre-order was cancelled by Matt a couple of months ago, because he said they didn't know when they would be available, if at all.

 

I bet its a final post until a new product launches and OVTune needs customers. Fck TW members when you have to answer for over promising and not delivering though.

 

only the dump tubes before the Y. this is the mid pipe i'm talking about, after the Y and before your muffler. this section is 3" on a TRD, 2.5" on stock exhaust.

 

what did he over promise on?

 

they are a wide mouth form so appear to be a massaged 2.5". don't hold me to that but i'm pretty sure.

Our blog post was posted Saturday. It went Live Monday morning.
We have been revolving updates nearly every 3 months for this community. 1.01. 1.02. 1.03. 1.04. 1.05. 1.05.1,1.06 (test for MT) 2.0 a more constant stream of continued updates than any platform we've done in the past. More attention too.
Enough custom code to practically be it's own ECU at this point.
Exhaust parts we are working on *fabricator delay due to amount of orders* That is my fault for anticipating less orders.
Getting Catted tubes made literally DAYS after people asked for that option. I rushed to get those developed when it wasn't even an initial priority.

Tuning for 4.88s.
Tuning for 5.29s
Tuning for boost.

All for FREE.

Multiple people testing 2.0 on AT and MT to get it finished and out as quickly as possible, constant stream of logs, tickets, etc.
Working nearly every single weekend since I started this platform.

And I don't charge anyone one penny past their initial purchase and I'm starting to think you guys want us to fail in the end. The hardest thing for us right now is to keep all of our timelines in check because we try to do everything as quickly as humanly possible because we get literally, constantly, hourly, asked for updates updates updates.

 

Most of us appreciate what you are doing! Please ignore the people that are unhappy. You can never please everyone.

Also, I don't think working weekends is healthy, especially with a growing family. This stuff can wait, spend time with your family on the weekend man! They grow up too fast.

To anyone else reading this... This product is amazing and worth every penny.

 

i'm guessing the main resonance comes in the mid pipe where it's 2.5 and it gets buzzy. a 3" pipe there allows for lower frequency resonance. you don't want excessively big pipes anywhere in the system due to torque and throttle response loss, so there's a mild compromise with pipe size. anyway, 2.5" mid pipes buzz. a 3" mid pipe won't buzz and will sound bigger with more bass. no significant loss on tq or throttle with that. i have two 3"resonators in the mid pipe before the muffler, because without those the 2.5" Y pipe will bring all kinds of nasty sound due to losing the rear cats.

I can't force updates faster, and I cannot transform this truck into a different vehicle. I can only provide what is possible.

 

I think the quiet majority are super happy and just patiently waiting and watching for the next version that brings more awesome to this truck. Super appreciative and we all want you to succeed. Thanks again for all the updates.

 

@OVTune Matt, my advice to you would be to get the heck off of TacomaWorld for a while. This forum, like all forums, is about 5% useful and 95% annoying.

Keep on keeping on and work on what is already on the OVtune teams plate. I think it would be good for everyone to have some more separation between OVTuned and TacomaWorld.
