Same happens with @7r41lbr34k3r and his custom shift knobs. How dares he to take weekends off and relax? We demand product to be delivered right meow!

Nobody wants you to fail. You’ve given us a voice with this forum. We may not always say things the way they are meant to be said and we may not always hear you your message clearly, but you definitely get honest feedback which is critical to development.

You’re the HMFIC (head m’fer in charge, for you non military folks). You set the rules.

Bottom line is that all of us support what you are doing and are trying to contribute to your success.

So we get cranky sometimes. We’ll live.

In all honesty, Mat simply can't win. He's taking a step back which means we'll see what we've seen in the past when he takes a hiatus from this obnoxious thread, which is to say we'll see people surfacing to complain about not having any sort of presence on the forum and not communicating anything to the customers (current and potential ones).

Then you have the other side of the coin, where nothing changes as far as the frequency of peoples' demands but he has a presence on the forum and so falls behind on work while trying to keep everyone happy, which means potentially missed timelines which people would whine about not having if he elects to not provide them in order to prevent missing projected and publicized timelines.

It's basically a no-win scenario and yet he tries and tries and tries to keep everyone happy through it all. Give the man a break please. Some of this customer base has been around since mid to late 2017 and we've seen multiple recurrences of the scenarios I described above. It's a vicious cycle and it's about time Mat wasn't pushed to the edge.

yes, for whatever reason it wasn't computing that you had that done already, so yes you are good. in that case if you are having anything nasal or ricey then the next stop would be something like a 3" Vibrant Ultra Quiet resonator. they are nice, fit right in, and don't negatively affect flow at all. tube style resonators there likely won't correct the sound like you hope. the Vibrant can deepen the sound.

I hope there’s an upgrade price too. You’re going to need to calculate for inflation.

I've been a customer of yours since July of 2017 and have been following your progress on this platform since then. And it's been quite interesting seeing how the tune has evolved since 1.01b to 1.05 and soon to be 2.0 as every iteration has only gotten better. Your enthusiasm for this platform having led you to not only tune these trucks with awesome results to creating from scratch forced induction kits that will be completely bolt on for the diys amongst us has made me very excited to own my tacoma because without your company and the products you've produced and the future products you'll be bringing to the tacoma platform I would have traded my truck in by now.

Also having been around your development thread here since my purchase in 2017 and seeing how you've handled things when the few very disgruntled customers have aired there frustrations and anger about this or that on here has shown me personally that you really care about your customers being satisfied with their purchase of your products and that you try your best to that end. As I've found you to be as professional as possible despite what have been some very defamatory accusations at times on here.

To end my rant just want to say awesome job Matt and team keep up the great work you guys do.

    @OVTune

Appreciate the products and look forward to purchasing more when the time comes. Do the best I can to spread the word. Thanks for keeping the hopes and dreams alive for this truck.

Don’t post much anymore cause I’m content enough to wait for the new goodies.

    I must admit...

I work in the parts department of a Toyota dealership here in the Vancouver BC area... Our service advisors send Tacoma owners my way when they get a complaint about drivability. Don't know if I have convinced anyone yet to buy the tune, but I have told several customers about this thread and the ovtuned website. I've even offered to let them take the truck for a drive.

Don't know, as I said, if that has converted into any sales, but I have no issue recommending it to anyone!

You Have done wonders for all of us. No need to explain yourself. Most of us are patient and want the best from your expertise. Which also takes time. And sometimes longer than you expect. Please don't let the minority ruin what you have done and can do with our 3rd gen Tacoma's. We patiently wait for your improvements. And greatly appreciate everything you have done. Not a fanboy. But truly appreciate the work you do.

That's the problem. The minority whiners and or those who don't research can become the most annoying voice in this forum. The crying daily has to get overwhelming. Especially when it's coming from someone who hasn't even researched before they bitch and complain. We see it on the FB pages all the damn time.

I say exercise the power capitalism gave you as a consumer and cast your vote for another product. Oh wait.............

We all get that Mat is overly optimistic in his timelines, but his deliverables are always worth the wait.

I’ve learned to accept that he’s doing the best he can, and my life is considerably less stressful for accepting the good and bad.

I support an independent software developer for an automation product simply because he’s out there doing it on his own vs Apple or Google or Samsung etc. There too, I accept the development and delivery pace.

Life’s just too damn short to stress so much.
