I doubt it matters if you'd preordered, because those of us who preordered back in October had our orders refunded a few months ago since Mat no longer knew when the units would be arriving and didn't want to hold onto people's money any longer. So I don't think there's any pre-orders out there right now which is why that post is confusing

I'm curious as to what the people bitching are going to accomplish. You whine and bitch and somehow get your way? Respectfully inquiring for an update is one thing, but if you just complain about it taking too long, nothing different is going to happen. Waste of time and irritates everyone.

A couple of things running through my head...

A small business owner creating a new product has a fine line to walk. For instance, with the dump tubes. He can't have his fabricator make 100 sets and have $20,000 tied up if he has no way of knowing if they will sell. You will go out of business doing this if your products flop. Granted, the scale is small, but still a bad use of capital. Underestimating demand is less costly in actual cash, but an annoyance for some customers which you could lose if they had alternatives (they don't). Or are just going to not buy it based on their principle of whining (probably still will after the tantrum is over).

Realistically a small business owner will learn from these things to possibly sample how many people want the product beforehand or perhaps taking pre-orders and giving an estimated wait time based on the number of people buying. Of course you would need to know what your fabricator can do for you in said time frame. He has options for the future. Seems to be pent-up, high demand for his products just waiting to be released which is great.

I also understand the excitement in creating new things for a platform that you know are bad ass and just wanting to get them out there to make people happy. Hard to not jump the gun sometimes. Who doesn't want to show off their hard work?

Anyway, the point of my post is quit your bitching and maybe think of things objectively and maybe step into the business owner's shoes. Its not easy by any means.

Believe me, what you've made possible with the worst turd I've ever bought in my 35 years of owning vehicles is simply frikn amazing.

Like others have said, I doubt if I'd still have it if it wasn't for you and your hard work.

99 out of 100 people appreciate you and understand the time it takes to do what you do. Don't stress over that other 1%. I work management in a casino in the ghetto, I get cussed out and threatened daily, usually they just got other stuff going on in their lives and it's getting taken out on me. Can't ever take it personally.

I bought this truck with the full intention of getting the tune, if your tuning wasn't available, I wouldn't have purchased the truck.

Id be a satisfied customer if you never moved past 1.05. Anything else is gravy. Take your time, enjoy your family. No rush on 2.0, SC, TT.

?? are all of the anti virus software options turned off? Start by doing so if not. then try the utility button - update and begin over.

Did you install the drivers? You can do so from the drop downs in Flash Manager.

So here's an interesting question: when you buy an OVTune license, is it tied to the computer you install it on or the first vehicle you flash? I have an 05 and a 19. So could I flash both with the same laptop? Although not listed, I know a 4.0L tune exists.

One license let’s you tune one vehicle. If you want to change computers, you’ll have to make a request to Mat or get the handheld when available.

That is what I expect - the computer, and for that matter cable, are the reusable tools. The license is for your specific ECU which is unique per vehicle. Perhaps there is a bulk discount if you want to by a 6-pack though.

I figured as well but thought I would ask. Not really looking to tune the 05. It has 260k on it. Was just thinking I would if that was an option just for shits and giggles...

I know OVTune discussed not having a turbo-tune for 87 but do not see if a 91 will be available. Anybody know the answer to this?

I would guess it will be an extension of 2.0 which will adjust automatically for Octane rating. There will not be 87/91/93 tunes for 2.0.

on his website it notes 91+ for the SC option, I do not see anything specified for the TT but I would expect 91+ would be recommended for best ignition.

His dyno testing on the TT setup is running on 93 from what I've read. So I would assume the TT is meant to run on a 91/93 tune.

He mentioned way back in this thread that a minimum of 91 octane fuel will be required for all FI applications. I.e. highest available octane for your location w/ a minimum of 91.
