Matt, with all due respect quit taking the bait that these self centered individuals are posting. No matter what you do or say all they care about is their own instant gratification which is very short lived. As soon as you give them what they are bitching about they will just find something else to bitch about. Just keep in mind it's a very small number of people who have very loud voices ONLY! The majority of your customers are sitting back and waiting patiently for the finished product. As one of those customers I would rather wait for a good product instead of wanting constant short lived gradification that some people require to feel satisfied then take it out on you constantly.

Thank you. I figured it would have to be able to run 91 since a lot of the country doesn't have ready access to 93. Be interesting to see if that nerfs the power significantly.

I thought so, but this is not a case for testing files.
Update. Traveled 1300 miles. 3 tanks of gas. 200 miles of 1300 were somewhat on open road, the rest is daily commute grinding on the road to hell - I 405. Average mpg after 3 tanks =23 .

Dam!!! I’m lucky to get a range of 350miles per tank, it’s usually around 300

And I’m completely stock besides a snugtop camper cap.

About 15mpg? That is harsh. The mileage will go up a bit as you break it in though.

Just did 3 hour round trip since tuning 91 base. averaged 10.3l per 100km/ 23MPG. VERY HAPPY WITH THAT. I'm getting about the same as my wife's 17 Escape

Getting about 15mpg in city, and about 18mpg on highway. I'm just about to hit 7k miles on the truck. Before having to go back to stock tune, I was running 87 base.

You should be pretty much settled in, but I was still finding some subtle stuff happening through 10k.

I've heard that canopies affect MPGs, but I have no experience there. Hopefully, 2.0 will get you a boost.

    So,
regarding handhelds. We will have another pre-order option again for people interested. People who wanted one in the beginning will take priority.
For the few who decided to stick with it, you'll be receiving yours very soon!
Once all of those people who initially wanted one are taken care of, they will be available for general orders.

Regarding self tuning (people who want to tune their own trucks).
Right now we have the option available for

    - Handheld tuners as an add on
    - DONGLE version tune kits (as an add on)
    - we will be working towards an updated version of P5Flash that will allow this option for people interested.

This will allow you to modify things like Ignition timing. Fueling, valve timing, etc. Opening the ECU up to the community.

    - 2.0 public for 04B04 / 04A60 / 04A61 / 04B30 / 04B31 will also be available soon

Awesome! Definitely considering a handheld. The laptop I currently use is bulky, slow and the battery is a POS.

Thanks Matt. Refused the refund because I knew you'd come through. :hattip:

Can someone please share the tech stream file with me so I can update my ECU to 04B04? The link I got didn't work last time.

 So excited for this. Mahalo Mat for all your hard work. Really looking forward to the handheld, also kind of assuming there are some safeguards in place for the self tuning, I wouldn’t know where to start. Hoping this community will be sharing some awesome settings.

I won’t speak for Mat, but if it’s anything like the past self tuning software I’ve used, there will not be any safeguards so to speak. I would recommend letting the professional build your tune files, unless you are willing to take the associated risks and learn the ins and outs of tuning s modern ECU. This goes for any platform.

Of course some perimeters are more benign than others, but you get where I’m going.

Correct. Only 04B04 and only 93 or 87octane files.

04B04 has the been the Guinea pig for a while now, dating back a few revisions.
