Any change to the 4.88 tune?

 

Octane learning is as soon as you start the truck. Doesn't matter what is going on with the transmission. D/ECT/nuetral/Park/reverse/etc.

Oh now you tell us. I just did 10 pulls in 4th gear.

 

My engine don't sound like a rattle can pulling the big hill going to my house anymore.

 

This is going to be sweat! Any chance of running flexfuel e85!? LOL!

 

I was looking at my ts file whe I saw your post I do see TC locked once at 29 mph, 31mph on the trip, the other were starting at 43mph. I guess, yes

 

I did a pull in third to and shifted to 4th. Looked down and was doing 97 mph. Lol

It's a legitimate question. With the release of their forced induction kits coming, it's pretty common that people run flexfuel.

 

So these beta files are no good for trucks with 4.88 gears?

Wow. Wow. Wow. This second beta is even better! (91 in the tank) I tried to run it through the gears but I kept hitting traffic before I had to slow down in 2nd gear lol! This thing hauls ass now! Driving in D feels natural like you would expect it to drive.

Ran up a couple of big hills @ 15%+ grades and let off the throttle and then got back on it. It down shifted and had instant power again. Prior to 2.0, letting off the accelerator half way up a big hill would really kill your momentum and the truck would usually have to drop 2 gears to get power again.

I got stuck in bumper to bumper traffic on my way back and the truck is so much easier to drive in traffic now. It’s not jumpy and I’m able to stay close to the car in front of me so no one has a window to cut me off lol.

2.0 is what I think most of us bought this tune for. Very happy with what @OVTune has done!

 

it can be used with 4.88. shift is just a bit different, as that build is being worked on.
