Currently have a 2018, but am going to trade it in on the 2020 when I can get my hands on it. If I buy the tune now can I use it on my current truck, then revert back to stock before I trade it in, then also use it on my new one?

Sounds like you didn’t turn the truck off after flashing and before starting.

Your dealer can also upgrade yours as well. They did mine and I just told them it shifted erratically, especially in hilly terrain. There is a TSB for it.

That’s what I was trying to do was take it out of accessory mode. Maybe because I tried resetting the AT values twice (both unsuccessful)?

I’m currently on 04b03 and I want to upgrade to 04b04. I don’t have tech stream or the means to do it myself. Will the dealership do it for me? And is there a tsb I can request that will have it?

I’m hoping this is all it was not a warning to what might be coming up....my truck has been a warranty queen. You name it it’s been fixed

Did you turn the truck completely off after flashing before you tried to start it. Because if you don’t, that brake override indicator is what’s showing last and the truck won’t start till you completely turn it off. So turning it completely off after flashing prevents this and then it will start right up.

Except he’s already said he’s buying a 2020 for the fleet so it won’t be as long as you think

Would you or anyone happen to have the tsb number?

To reset the AT, you have to have the truck on (push button 2 times without starting), then reset the AT values. Not with the truck running, it will be unsuccessful.

    I’m a dongle user.
Happened to me too. I emailed zendesk.
    Sequence:
Turned Truck on - Cleared values with TS
    Turned Truck off
Turned truck on - loaded 2.0 OLE successfully
Turned truck off - unplugged OBD II
Attempted to start truck - just turned over for 5–10 seconds. Did not start.
    Turned truck off
    Started truck - started fine.
Went for a 25 mile drive.

It’s still too early to tell, but comparing identical initial drives on 2.0 93-octane vs 2.0 OLE, the 93-octane beta felt better in my truck. Before 2.0, I was a 1.05 (91) running 93 octane.

Edit: specifically the transmission. The current version seems to have more TC slippage and it also seems more prone to decelerating with static throttle input than the previous did.

That said, both versions of 2.0 are WAY BETTER than 1.05.

You can have the dealer do it. It was the last major ECU update for the 2016-2017 trucks. Much improved over the prior stock tunes and then you can overwrite with OV tune for 04B04 trucks. Or if you have Techstream and the ability to just do it your self. Several on here have done it if the dealer is uncooperative. T-SB-0077-16 was an earlier ECU update too. Just print out the TSB and tell them you are having any one of the issues it list.

I second this. I’ve only got 50 miles on 2.0 OLE but at this point the 93 2.0 beta tune felt better to me. I’m going to give 2.0 OLE more time though.
