I was a PC purist for most of my life. Built my own PCs back in the early 90s, and until around 2010 I was still convinced that Macs were for sissies who didn't know how to use a real computer. I even worked for Dell for the better part of a decade... Something Dell attempted to do multiple times unsuccessfully was INTEGRATION across devices. Once I got past the need to have complete control over everything with ease as I could w/ a PC I came to realize that I loved the consistency, stability, and unix architecture far more than MS products. My iPhone and my Mac work seamlessly together - a marketing gimmick some may think, but as Jobs would say 'it just works' and I don't have to think more about it than that.

No haters either way. I still use a PC some for work - though things I can SSO into or VPN I still prefer using a Mac. PC is the last resort... I will say Windows has come a long way with the last couple of releases so the disparity isn't nearly as big as it was before, but like mentioned above, I have a 5 year old MacBook Pro that runs flawlessly like the day I bought it and I won't need to upgrade for some time to come. that's worth the premium I paid for it and then some!

May have come up already, but is the trans work OV is getting into now separate from the existing tune? Meaning, are they mutually exclusive and one could choose to only change the shifting behavior and leave the engine controls stock?

    I'm just thinking here...

You might want to look at the shift sense pro if you haven't already seen that. Its got positive reviews. I'm pretty sure they are together as far as the OV tune goes. But i also didn't wanna sift through 300+ pages of people talking about operating systems so i'm not quite sure....

I only think you'll have to worry about half a page to a full page of OS talk. Relax, guy.

Lolol. I just think it's funny how often people get off track. Didn't mean anything by my comments

OP has mentioned that the majority of the controls for shifting are in the ECU tune. Ill see if I can find it in this thread

Edit: I can only speak towards AT. Ive had all updates and no update to TCU yet. All changes have been in the ECU file
