I have a 2017 4X4 off road, my order number is 2112, I have been in the loop for some time now and do not mind the wait for a QUALITY product. I am NOT going to sell my truck tomorrow! What Mat has given me so far is greater than anything Toyota has done. Really, if you do not like your truck ---- sell the F---G thing and get on with your life. NO PROBLEMS???

 

A shit load of orders, what does that say about the integrity of this MAN????

 

I haven't been keeping up with the thread and it's too much to read through. So how is the new update coming along? I learned it was released for some trucks. What about for 04A60?

 

Aside from the 2.0 beta release, the rest are just bullshit information.

I ordered the tubes last week, I will get them when they are ready, if it's 4 weeks so be it, if it's 10 weeks, so be it... Complaining and calling Mat all kind of names won't make them arrive any sooner, especially since he's not the one fabricating them.

Very similar to the two things employees hate - (1) change and (2) the current way of doing things.

 

2.0 beta thoughts: Dongle user, and cleared learned values via Techstream first, running 93 octane in the tank. Flashed on as easy as the rest, and no issues. Initial response was sluggish, but livened up pretty quickly by the end of the first day. Noticed some TC slippage the first day, but after that it hasn't happened again. After first 100 or so miles on a few different drives, it feels smoother and more responsive than 1.05.1. Shifting in auto is even more reserved and smooth than 1.05.1 was, and I haven't had a sudden shift into 4th when I wasn't expecting it even once. Hills that would hit the truck into 4th before are now VERY smoothly dropping to 5th and pulling the hill just fine. Honestly, can't tell this is a beta, it feels like a final release.

2017 TRD OR, OME lifted, 265 75/16 10 ply tires, and it feels better than it did when it was stock and lighter.

 

There is nothing I can do or can't do to stop chargebacks. I have come to that conclusion already with the Tacoma community.

People ask for discounts..don't have.. Chargeback
People decide to trade their truck in months later.. Chargeback
People want discount week or longer after it expired. Ok give it to them. Chargeback anyway.
People order, change their mind, chargeback..and don't even send us the kit back.



There is a difference between asking a legitimate question and talking shit. "Feels like a kickstarter project." A whole lot of kickstarter projects fail and run away with people's money, take forever, and or never come to fruition. To me, that reads that we are trying to use people's money to create something (no) or in it to rip everyone off (no).


For the future I will have extras in stock and just charge more. Catted dump tubes are nearly $600 my cost anyway and selling them to you guys for a tiny mark up. Not worth it for the headache.

 

What’s a chargeback? Call me stupid but if you purchase under an agreement of no refunds how is a chargeback happening?

No offense to developers I just can’t justify 700 for the product at this time. Not saying it’s too much because I can only imagine the work out in day in and out. Some of the features and improvements sound nice but nothing ‘sells’ me to this product. After reading for days and days even on OVTune website, there is so much technical jargon that this product isn’t even for a novice like myself.

All this is said to say I don’t understand a chargeback since if I purchased I’d know that it’s a like it good, hate it I’m screwed. Doesn’t work I’m screwed, works sorta or whatever. Either way final purchase. This alone likely will be why I stay away from the product despite having interest in it and constantly reading on what others are saying plus what developer adds to the table.

 

I'd say drive a truck with it and you'll be sold right away. Simple as that.
