It's more pronounced on the flats for me. When going up a hill, downshifts are predictable and require less pedal.

next week I'm getting Volvo's Polestar tune flashed on my 2019. I'm friends with the dealer and get it at his cost: $1340. and Volvo doesn't even respond to my posts. complainers be damned.

Me too. On flats at 55 mph, in 6th, I can depress the paddle and it won't downshift until I hit the floor.

So I am patiently waiting for 2.0 to drop to 60, when it happens it happens. I didn’t know what I was missing when I bought the tune at 1.05. I have read every post in this thread, holy fucking bat balls Batman, but overwhelming it lead me to purchase OvTune. My truck runs smoother at idle, shifts better, actually will hold 6th gear on my commute and just is generally better. The only weakness that I still see is cruise control, what a shit show that is, I can drive the same route with the pedal stays in 6th, use cruise and it’s 6, 5, 4 up and down. That I can deal with and know that at some point it won’t be fixed, because Toyota says it’s normal, but it will be tuned by Mat and I will continue to be happy with my $700 purchase.

No I am talking easy I84 between Nampa and Boise. It’s ridiculous with the factory tune, 70mph and it just bounces 654, 456 with cruise, use the pedal and it’s 65, 56. But with 1.05 87base with the pedal and me paying attention I can hold 6 the whole drive. Headed to Cascade with the trailer (3000lb TT) this weekend, going the back way (hwy95), will be a good test for the truck/tune. You are correct Horseshoe Bend hill is a bitch that let’s you know she’s in charge.

Does he still plan on making the crawl control knob to switch in between tunes? Because that would make the handheld obsolete for many.

That probably the last time Volvo update that tune too. No such thing as a complete overhaul of the codes or update like what OVTune have been doing.

Are you login the data? Cause I just went east on I90(one effing long incline) and did not experience "no dead pedal". If you have TS, I can email the file.

I would agree this is my experience as well. I misstated earlier when saying hills, I meant more flats into slight grades(updated my earlier post). I went and tested more and it is mostly on flats leading into slight grades, I tend to lean into the pedal a little to compensate and there is no shift or speed increase until I really lay into the pedal.

TBH, I could easily live with it, but if OV looks into it and a later release resolves it for anyone with the same experience, even better.

Please clarify, not sure if you mean you did or didn't get dead pedal. But I have less to no dead pedal on inclines, it seems the steeper the incline the less dead pedal I experience.

And, thanks but already have TS, just too lazy to setup logging with it. :anonymous:

I have no way of comparing, but yes, it does sound like it's worse on the 04A61, and more widespread.

Instead of trying to continually figure out who has what issue or what issues *may* exist or may not, simply email zendesk if you have an issue on the beta so we can make necessary changes.

Then flash back to 1.05, or whatever previous tune, and wait for an update.
