This happened to me yesterday after downloading the latest 2.0 Beta. I clicked on update than P5 was no longer greyed out and it allowed me to open Flash. I too thought that was a bit strange that Flash Manager was no longer highlighted after the download but for whatever reason clicking update re-highlighted it.

I like that behavior, too. Pretty much any vehicle will cruise in the 1000s if you have good foot control and a good ear for when the engine is 'happy.' When I drive my son's 5 speed stick Mazda 3, I'll put it in 5th around 40 mph if I'm just puttering along on a flat, low speed limit road. Will it take throttle without lugging? No, but I have no intention of getting on the throttle in that situation. If I want to accelerate, I'll downshift. If I'm in the mood to enjoy just how zippy his car can be, I won't see 5th until probably 70. Mat's current shift profile with our trucks pretty much matches how I drive a stick, so I'm happy.

Man I am very happy with the 2.0 beta release Saturday. Tip in is perfect and I don't get the dead pedal when it shifts from 3-4 anymore. Thanks for your continued work Mat!

@OVTune 2nd the theme here - I have great tip-in and I had been suffering with some initial pedal travel that was "dead" that is completely resolved now. I just hit 50-miles into the this BETA so I will makes some notes and Zendesk them for feedback as I continue on. Thanks for the great work!

No love for 04B30, eh? Is there something wrong with the 04B30 factory programming that is causing delays for the beta? You also removed the 1.05 and 1.05.1 files from the flashmanager after discovering a "throttle issue," so I'm beginning to worry a little bit.

    oh well... :pout:

It takes time to develop each ECU. The latest are always first (04b13, 04b04, 04b31, etc) and then they are created for the older ECU revisions. It’s been that way since day 1.

This is why people on 04b02, 04b03 and others need to apply the applicable TSB

If your truck is having issues, it’s recommended to flash to stock and contact via zendesk. Otherwise keep driving it and stop worrying lol

None for 04A60 either. I had to flash to 04A61 to get files.

Understand all that. It's the fact that he also removed every other 04B30 tune a few weeks ago that has me a little more concerned.

Fair enough. Can you provide any info on the "bug" you discovered that led to the 04B30 issues? Are you aware of any TSB that would include an update to 04B31?

I don't think there is a TSB yet for the 2019s, however I've heard from a reliable source there is one coming.

If true, that's good news for everyone!

I'll patiently wait for a 04B30 beta to drop at a later date. Thank you for all you do!

Am moving to a new house and am wondering what is the recommended tune for towing a trailer? 1.05 B030 was pretty good, but have updated to B040 and am waiting for my new Reg key. I've mostly used 87 octane tunes.

You don't need a new reg key for a new ECU. The reg key is only relevant to the device you are running the FM software with.

If you are using the same computer as you flashed 1.05 with, you just select the new ECU when downloading a tune.

Unless you're looking for the 2.0 beta, which has to be download directly from OVTune's website. You can't get it through Flash Manager.

Shifting is by far improved over the last patch. It had two lag spots shifting into 3rd and 4th and I could feel them severely due to the gearing. Everything is very smooth now.

I know I’m off cause of the gearing so I’m merely commenting on the feel of the shifting. Pedal response is better and smoother now as well.

5/6th on the highway are great. Got a trip up the mountain with the trailer this weekend so I’ll keep tabs on how it goes.

I update my laptop hard drive to a SSD and had to request a new Reg key from @OVTune . So while I wait, I was wondering what was a solid tune for towing a trailer:thumbsup:

About 100 miles in on 2.0 beta base. Getting on the highway is perfect. Highway driving is perfect. City driving is perfect. Hilly country side is perfect. Power is incredible. Tip in is perfect for me. Shifts are smooth and predictable. No more bumpy road feeling so far. Gas mileage is best I've ever got. 24.1 today on 50 miles journey, mix of city and hilly country. I don't need to use ECT or S mode anymore. Trans temps seem to be staying anywhere from 8- 10 degrees cooler. Truck seems to not be out of breath or struggling at all anymore. I feel my truck is 100% perfect now.

    2 inch lift.
    32 inch tires

If you intend to try the beta 2.0, I'd go ahead and get it downloaded, that way you have it when you do get your key. They've been taken down after a day or so in the past.
