How many miles are you guys giving these tunes? You shouldn’t be judging it until you have some serious miles on it. The first 3 tanks of gas always have worse mileage than when the tune settles. I’ve been testing this since 1.03 and it’s undoubtedly worse before the tune settles

Just do a couple of full throttle passes. It'll learn over time if you don't get it done like that. The timing maps start from low octane and work up... it's safe! Just do it!

I could care less about a video of something you cannot see. Or stickers and t-shirts for that matter.

Are the full throttle pulls a requirement on 2.0 Beta? Or can you flash and go. 87 Octane is what I've usually ran up to this point. :mudding:

Seems like most people are reading way too much into this calibration process. I loaded the tune, idled for 10 mins and then went for a 30min drive down a country road and then highway, the tune works very best. It's a learning tune so it will learn over time. Just keep the same octane so it doesn't have to try to keep learning different fuels.

77 miles on 16012 version and I'm over 22 mpg on efing I 405 grind.
On previous version , I drove 1 tank only and got 400 with final 22.6 mpg. I used that tank to install current version. Otherwise it would be over 23 mpg.
    No issue with mpg here.

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong...

But Mat had indicated that the "Full Throttle Pulls" were optional to help the tune to learn what octane you're running faster.

Thank You all for clarifying on the full throttle, I guess I was reading too much into it! lol. Being paranoid, didn't want to mess something up, but I guess you can't really mess it up :)

Nope. Just drive it. He said it's optional, but will help it learn faster than it already does.

Yes, are there any updates on the dump tubes? Mat posted last week that he would have them by Monday and that it will very "soon". Im moving in a month so I would really like to have them sometime in September.

If you only use it for tuning I wouldn't bother as updating might change your system ID.

I updated 10 machines with it last week. But none are used for OVTune ;)
If you do the update, just recognize that this one will take you some time... probably 1 to 2 hours.

Then I would update it so you're not missing out on security patches and other added features they bring.

Honestly I can't see how you can improve on 2.0 over the beta release. I'm so happy with the way my truck is driving with 2.0 beta, I'm making up reasons to drive it. e.g. After just returning home from the store getting beer... "Hey Babe, I forgot something else at the store. I'll be back in a bit."
The shifting points are sooo much better than 1.05! I've not had the issues others are talking about with the 5th - 6th problems. Stomping the throttle at freeway speeds, it shifts down to 4th and hauls ass! The power over 4500 rpm is fat and smooth.
If you can improve on this, I'll be stunned.
