Just over a 1000 miles on 2.0 OLE. Runs great, awesome mpg (23-25) running 93 octane, seems smoother across the revs, maybe aics changes or placebo. Some stutter initially at 45-53ish but haven't noticed it lately. This tune just keeps getting better, can't wait for the final.

It's great. Easy throttle it feels like a better stock tune to me. Moderate throttle wakes it up a bit, heavy throttle is just plain impressive. Low speed driveability isn't much different than stock, IMO, except shifting patterns seem better. Freeway and highway speed it's much better--it holds 6th gear at 80 mph, no problem. This is all on 87 octane.

As good as it is, I can't wait for the 4.88-specific version.

Perhaps I just love the little things.

When you engage cruise control on 2.0. It does so smoothly. on 1.05 it would lurch forward as if you went WOT for a moment. Thank you matt. Little things like this make the Drivability so much more enjoyable.

I flashed back to 2.0 beta 2 (GL) as well.

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with the 3rd beta, it’s just a base tune and I’ve always run 91 Performance with ECT on 100% of the time because the truck seems to just drive better. 2.0 base is much better than 1.05 base but still doesn’t feel like it has enough power even with ECT on. On a long pull up a steep highway hill at 70mph, 2.0 base dances between 4th and 5th which is far better than the 5,3,4 dace before. But 1.05 91 perf only did the 4/5 dance sometimes. With 2.0 GL in Drive mode, that dance was completely gone. It would hold 4th for the whole hill but maintain better mpg average through the pull. I have an all stock truck too so it’s not a tires or weight issue.

I plan to submit feedback since this is a beta test but I feel like it’s mostly just my preference of tune rather than something being wrong with the base tune.

Indeed. I've been running 93 almost since I bought the tune last year. Last weekend for a 3 hour road trip I decided to drop down to 87 (because OLE) and see how she ran. Definitely not a slouch but it doesn't run nearly as good as it does on 93. Mileage dropped at least 2 mpgs as well. This weekend I'm running this low octane out and going back to 93 (Top Tier whenever possible).

I have noticed that my mpg is lower on 2.0 beta base (with 93 gas) compared to the previous 2.0 gear lock 93 tune. That seems counterintuitive, since the base tune typically is the mpg tune. In general, the 2.0 base shifting behavior does make the truck drive more smoothly than the previous beta. Feels to me like it does a bit more 5/6 or lock/unlock on grades - this gets rid of the slight dead pedal feel, but maybe the slightly higher rpms are what cause the lower mileage. On the gear lock beta, I was getting 23.5 consistently on my commute. On 2.0 base beta, that is down to 21.5.

I reported this as well as other feedback details via zendesk as requested. Just adding here since folks are talking about it.

This latest base tune is super smooth. No complaints. The driveability is superior to any tune to date in my opinion. That said, my favorite tune to date is the first 2.0 GL 93 beta without octane learning. It’s much more peppy and responsive, holds gears a little longer, doesn’t coast as much, and is much more prone to accelerate than decelerate with constant pedal input.

When OVT releases the all in one tune with the ability to switch on-the-fly it’s going to ROCK!

By the way, here's the response about this from Mat on zendesk: "Okay thank you for letting us know, we will look into it and update the shift algorithm."

Ive been experiencing a "bumpy road" feeling on the latest 2.0 beta file crusing at 55MPH/1400 RMP's. Anyone else having anything similar to this?
I haven't had this issue with any other tune versions.

I've put 300 miles on the latest 2.0 beta file.

    Ticket has already been submitted.

Really interested in what the plan is for multi-map without crawl control because it seems like we’ll all be getting the same solution.

I wonder what method will be used to tell what map you’re on. And also if the maps can be placed in specific orders and/or it’ll revert to map 1 upon ignition.

I've been getting it as well. Very narrow range though. Working on compiling data logs and will submit by weekend

Maybe its the gear selector? 1-6gears leave an option for 6 maps ;)

    All speculation of course .

2.0 initial public release, 04B04 ECU, 4.88 specific w/GL, 87 Octane - running stock tire size with suspension upgrade (for towing):

Just came back from a 200+ mile trip pulling the 1800lb camper. Home base elevation 6800ft - max mountain elevation 11,300 ft. Varying highway speeds of 45 mph to 65 mph. Used "S mode" only - no GL. Average roundtrip mileage 20.5 mpg. Truck pulled effortlessly and shifting was smooth. Power was excellent. Way better than any version of 1.xx. Very pleased!

Prior mileage on same tune with a combination of city, local street and highway - Used "D mode" only was 21.5 mpg. Power and performance were excellent - only point for improvement was upshift from 3 to 4 - seemed to shift too early and dropped a little low on rpm. Overall a significant positive improvement over any prior 1.xx version.

FYI - yes Mat is receiving my commentary via his Zendesk.

Looking forward to the final touches for 2.0 with 4.88 specific gearing. Thank you @OVTune !

My money is on the cruise control buttons. They go directly to the ECM and are a single input. They are essentially 4 different voltage levels, one for each button press. All trucks with the exception of the SR that can be had without CC would have them, and implementation of the code would be the same or very similar regardless of MT/AT.

How many versions of 2.0 have been release and what part of the program file tells me what version I have? I thought there has been only 2 releases so far.
