That's awesome on the handheld. Thanks Matt.

I was looking at this last night and was a bit confused. I don't have the original package yet so do I just need to buy the handheld for $699 or is it tune $699 and Handheld $399 (less discount) The latter makes more sense to me but I thought I'd check first. I'll send a note to Zendesk, too.

Nope! Just the $700 HH. The tunes come with it. The $400 HH is for the rest of us that have the PC version with FM (dongleless) or a dongle.

If the changed your motherboard when they changed the keyboard, then you would definitely require a new license.

No, only the keyboard was swapped out. Everything else remained the same.

Anyway, I submitted a ticket a few days ago. Hopefully Mat will get to it soon.

Has anyone tried 2.0 with 5.29 gears?

So I have no interest in tuning my own truck but curious what the DIY tune software will look like. Will users need to have an understanding of the fuel and shift tables to make adjustments or will there be some kind of user friendly interface for the user to make changes? I.e. adjusting throttle response would just be a matter of picking a sensitivity setting?

I'm not even going to pretend like I know what's happening on those 3D tables that get posted...

So, it would be great to have basic understanding of EFI and such. But we will do our best to guide people in the right direction. There will also be information about the tables (descriptions. Like "This fuel table is used under these conditions when the engine is doing xyz)

Still have the dead pedal on highway going at 60mph. If I push the throttle further it accelerates slowly in 5th gear but if I want to go faster nothing happen until it downshift to 3rd gear. It is worse going up hill, it doesn’t want to use 4th gear.

Am I still the only one?

    Ticket open at zendesk.

Other than highway driving, tip in is perfect and the truck is shifting so good I am amazed.

Also wondering the same thing, i have 1.05 on my stock truck but have 5.29's and 285/70s on the way, in addition to RTT and other goodies. Wondering if there will be a 5.29 specific tune, because i have heard of a 4.88 tune coming out.

This is a great question, and Mat has already answered it (I'll quote his reply below).

I wanted to bump in and say that "Patch" types of operations ARE available with the software solution being developed. It will be up to Mat to choose wether or not to have/make patches available; but you're ideology is fantastic.

Hopefully this post will gain Mat's attention and move the ball in that direction for ya. :p

A61, Stock truck, 86 octane. Latest beta downloaded without resetting values. 800+ miles. I drive like an adult (my wife says an old man).

    - overall response / tip in - I am happy with it. Have to respect the pedal or it can get jumpy, but I wouldn't change it.

    - response and part throttle acceleration "getting up to speed" - Much improved. Drops one gear, which is preferred.

    - 2nd to 3rd shift, light throttle - No issues.

    - 3rd to 4th shift, light throttle - 100% better. In my opinion, maybe hold 3rd just a little longer. Still falls on its face for a few seconds, but not like stock or last beta. Under a little more aggressive pedal, it shifts perfect. It feels like it holds 4th longer than it used to which I like.

-effectiveness of current changes to use of 5th,6th, highway driving - I really can't judge because I use adaptive cruise. When not using cruise, it seems really effective. Bounces between 6 and 5, but at least it doesn't go from 6 to 4. Does regular cruise use the tune as designed?

My last tank of gas was the best MPG my truck has ever got, 23.6; But also most favorable driving conditions, little wind and slower speeds due to construction.

Overall - The happiest I have been with this truck. Starting to think I might keep the truck a little while.
