The AC button has always been the "turbo" button in my experience lol

No. That is your license. It may become obsolete with the HH, but no one else can use it.

I haven't noticed any loss of power with the A/C, but it's always on in my truck, so maybe I don't have a frame of reference. It does seem to make the engine idle rough, but I don't think that's an OV issue.

I’m surprised people are bothered but the loss of power when the AC kicks on. Same thing with the defroster.

Rule of thumb is typically a 10-15% hp loss with AC on. All ACs suck power when on...I don’t need use mine often so I’m not familiar with the issue.

OK first of all I have read all 2515 pages. I have been on tune for quite a while and never had issue tuning.

2.0 beta, went to "2.0 public" clicked on my ecu 04B04, save to where Toy Flash ver 1.3.0 (re loaded it) states files are, in Toy Flash I put in my info and select 2.0.x.erom, hit download.

then it states error downloading file.
only difference is under files all others 1.04, 1.05, 1.05.1 the files start with "sid_04Bo4...., but with 2.0 there is no "sid_" the files are all the same size. 1.537kb.

any ideas? I have searched and others that had same issue only advice I saw was go to 2.0 public.
Im sure that I am doing something stupid, or not doing. any help would be appreciated. Figure can get good answer here without bothering Mat.

yes that's where I went and saved file to where toy flash indicates files are to be downloaded. then try and download in toy flash, it shows file but states error downloading.

Skip the ' download in toyflash', you already downloaded directly from the public site.

Now just write it to the ECU

Falling on the face right after shifting to 4th is vvt related.
And 3-4 shift point is fine. I hated when 3rd was long.

This is becoming way too subjective. Is it worst than before? What's your baseline? I think this is getting way out of control.

I posted this to zendesk today. It’s not specific at all, just my general observations.

    I replaced 1.05 93 Base with 04B04+-+2.0+EROM+93+-+Shift+Build+10867+-+Gearlock+P+M+thx.p5f

This was my favorite tune for performance but also maintaining drive-ability in traffic. Tip in was good but the shifting didn't seem as smooth as the next two 2.0 beta releases. Performance was awesome! This one would pull strong throughout the RPM range and just seemed to unlock the potential of the power train. This tune was fun to drive and I'm thinking about going back to it to experience it again.

    04B04+-+2.0+EROM-OLE-Build+13079.p5f

This tune was not as fun as the first 2.0 public beta release. It shifted better but the power just wasn't the same as the first beta, even after several hundred miles of driving which should have been sufficient for the OLE to figure out I'm running 93 octane.

    04B04+-+2.0+EROM+-+Shift+Build+16012+-+Base+.p5f

This is the best all around tune to date but not particularly great at performance. Not as exciting as the first beta but it's very good all around, including base power, shifting, and gas mileage.

You guys with the A/C issue just need to move to Southeast Louisiana. It's ALWAYS hot and super humid here, so the A/C is ALWAYS on.
Y'all should be glad that you can drive without having the A/C on most times, and only "suffer" by having to use it sometimes.
If we're lucky, we may have a few days in December and January where we can try and see how it drives when not using the A/C.
Meantime.. Toyota says that's "normal" anyway... ;)

You just described the desert where I live, with the only difference being that you have humidity. I am not moving from somewhere where air-con is used all the time to somewhere where air-con is also used all the time. Lol

Air Conditioning = windows down. Or if you are really old - vented cooler box mounted in the window. Just add ice and drive!

Glad you guys mentioned the A/C thing. I first experienced this right after I changed the air filter. So I assumed that was it. (Last thing that was touched). I ran the truck without AC on.. All power is back. Just a goofy coincidence.

Truck still unlocks the converter in 6th gear way too easy on small rises in the freeway. This is costing me about 2-3 mpg on my usual commute at this point over 91 1.05 base (Or 1.03)

    Review sent to zen desk.

I too have been noticing weird shifting behavior with the A/C running. I also have noticed when I'm cruising around 30-30mph it will get the 1100rpm lug and it seems to take a bit more throttle that I would think to get it to downshift to 3rd. It's not as bad with the A/C off.

It's a good thing.. otherwise you wont be able accelerate in 6th until you dent a firewall...

on 1.05 base. it took nearly zero extra throttle input to deal with these little rises.
