That 70 mph+ dead pedal was a deal breaker for me. I made it a week, and if the revision hadn’t come so soon I would have stepped back to 1.05.

Patiently waiting for the next 2.0 brew.

2018 DCLB auto OR. 2000 miles on the latest beta 2.0. ~32,500 miles on the taco. All stock with predator steps, no armor and lift (yet). Not pulling a trailer.
Ran 87 octane, and truck ran and shifted great (only wished 4th gear held longer in no-ECT). Switched to 93 octane (can only get 87, 89, and 93 here), and truck ran and shifted even better with no-ECT! Goes to show the octane learning does work as it should. Randomly used ECT and no-ECT, did not make a difference on the interstate but did notice longer holds on the 2-3-4 gears in the city with ECT on.
I don't care about MPG's in the taco, but when I do care about MPG's I will drive the corolla...

The only thing I noticed was in radar cruise going up a hill, truck would smoothly go from 6th to 5th gear, and down to 4th gear to keep pulling. But before the crest of the hill it would shift from 4th to 5th, and back down to 4th gear right before the crest of the hill once it figured out that the hill was still climbing. It was irritating when it happened, but I dealt with it. Overall VERY happy with how 2.0 is coming along. It's fun to enjoy driving the taco. Thanks Mat, and keep up the great work!

Mat's CC improvements are only evident in normal mode - long press on the button when turning CC on bypasses Adaptive CC.

I heard that loud and clear. Sorry I did not test normal CC mode on it, as I have gotten used to letting the truck keep its distance from the vehicle ahead of me. I will test out normal CC mode on the taco adventure next week =]

I have a '71 Norton and the ethanol destroyed the fiberglass tank. I switched to a steel tank from a '74 and coated it.

The ethanol will mess with untreated steel as well because it will absorb water as stated in previous posts.

When I flashed back to 1.05 93 Base this week I too discovered just how sluggish the truck had slowly become on the last release of 2.0

It’s definitely sluggish, but without doubt, the 3-4 shift and 6-5 pedal to floor issues were corrected with this latest version. I could use a couple hundred more rpm before the 3-4 shift, but it sounds like I can make that correction myself with my own custom tuning. Shift points are very subjective anyway.

This latest is the best for me, despite being sluggish. I haven’t used my SSP for the first time in a long time, the gears don’t hold like the SSP does, but it’s close, and the downshifts are smooth and responsive, making the SSP almost unnecessary.

Look forward to more releases and a final version.

I did some data logging ing techstream today on the ACIS system.

My truck “ studders “ , lack of a better term, at 1700-1800 rpm to 2000-2100 rpm. When the truck is towing or under a heavy load it is can feel like I’m hitting 6 inch speed bumps. Usually about 3 to 5 of them. This only happens in 1st gear.

In the graph below it shows the ACIS motor going full values top to bottom of graph at the exact time I hit 1700rpm then it stabilizes after 2000. I did three start stops cycles at different throttle positions.

Going email zen desk in the morning, left flash drive at the shop. I hope @OVTune can eliminate this. This is in factory tune and all ov tunes.

I have never hear that before, and my bikes all had steel tanks. I know my Duc and Ural both had bare metal in some areas of the tank.

The only time I truly had an ethanol problem was when I left untreated fuel in the mower over winter. Then, it was just a matter of cleaning the jets.

Ha! More for what you do while trying to get the RPoS to run. There's a reason that there are so few Russians. Their tractors don't work.

It was a fun 4yrs when it was running through. Good times!

A few observations after multiple tanks of gas on the current beta 2.0, including a ~1,500 mile round trip from Houston to BBNP over Labor Day weekend.

    1) With 4.88s and 33s, we aren't getting the higher MPG numbers some of you are. Highest we got on the trip, hand calculated, was 17.2. Daily driving around Houston results in 15.9 to 16.1. We probably have at least 2,500 miles on the tune, so it's definitely "settled in". I believe 15.2 was the worst we saw on the trip, likely due to 80 mph speed limit, elevation, and wind.

    2) That said, with cruise control on the truck will still down-shift two gears on the big hills west of Kerrville on I-10. But it holds 4th gear and has sufficient power while doing so. On previous trips through the same area in similar conditions, we'd likely have seen as low as 12.5 mpg.

    3) We've used everything from 87 to 93 octane and have not experienced detonation, even at 5,000'+ elevation in BBNP.

    4) I have no idea if these trucks are speed governed, but ours falls on its face at ~99 to 100 mph which, in 6th gear, is well before red line. This is effectively a non-issue for me, since I only got it up that high three times on the trip to see how it would behave. I highly doubt we'll ever drive it at those speeds again, honestly.

Trucks do have a speed limiter I think around 110. Probably due to gears, ECU thinks you are maybe at that limit based on RPM and 6th gear? Are you adjusted for the larger tires on your calculation? I have to add around 7% to total tank distances to then divide by gallons used to come up with mpg. I am usually sitting 18.5-20 mpg. but have skinnies which appear to make a difference. Honestly, sometimes road trips avg lower due to packed, heavy truck and mountains.
