Says page not found 404

 

Page was pulled because people can't read.

 

I'm not wrong though am I? Sure, he messed up. But ovtune said just a few post back for people to send their feedback to him first...

I know it’s hard to keep up but check post #51199 for the latest website update.

 

Granted I am not the only who has done so, but I will take the blame for it.

That's just the thing with forums, specially one with 2500+ pages of info..not everybody is going to start reading back through old pages. For me, I honestly did not see this post

because when I clicked on this thread, the first thing I saw was the download link was updated. So I went and downloaded and started following from that point on.

My opinion is that stuff that people need to see should be on the website/download page. But even then, you will still have people not reading it all and coming back here, but at least then, a larger audience will hopefully see it.

I'm not justifying what I did or anything, just expressing my thoughts.

 

I'm not trying to attack you at all, but I do believe he'd included instructions on the download page to email zendesk with reviews/issues/concerns, etc.

 

Did it say anything about not posting any feedback on the TW forum? Asking for a friend.

 

Does it matter that it didn't? It explicitly requested feedback be sent to zendesk, and that instruction wasn't followed.

He most certainly did have it on the download page for 2.0 beta, I just checked (still have the page up before it got removed). Again, I'm that guy who fucked up 2x!! Granted, I'd still like to post feedback here, in a more general sense to the community and it sounds like Matt is fine with that, as long as we have put in a ticket assuring he has been notified before first.

I'm not mad, no hard feelings, but felt it is necessary to pull it and outline some very specific requirements when I post the page back up. Too many times people post here without ever letting us know anything about their truck via zendesk. Leaving us guessing.

*usually* you can't flash a file not associated with your ECU but you'd be surprised that someone managed to by spamming the flash command 50+ times forcing it. We ask that nobody shares files because of this.

Dang! I missed it! Stupid Calc 2 HW! Hopefully I can snag the tune when it drops tomorrow going to be a little tricky to watch Tacomaworld while I’m at work.

FYI if you are at work and only have your phone when the tune files drop you can download the tune file and email it to yourself. I did this in the past incase they got taken down before I got off work.

 

I am NOT saying that you have or will but, there has been some mention about sharing a file with other people by sending them the files. That would be a no-no. This is just a heads up and NOT an accusation.

 

Digging this iteration but damn guys. Why oh why can't people abide by simple instructions from the guy behind the curtain.
