    04B30 2.0 Tune driven over 500 or so miles and I can honestly say the shift points are what a mini truck should be like. Older tunes it would always try to be get into the next gear and it lugged. Good power now where it should be. Downshifts correctly under light pedal. Doesn’t want to jump under light throttle from a dig. But I don’t know how anyone is getting their claimed great gas mileage unless you don’t know where the gas pedal is. Full tank, cruise control, Florida highway, 200 mile round trip, best I could do 18.5-19.0. Ya if I do 60 I mayyyy get 20-21 but who really drives like that.
    Want brutal honest opinion there it is. I’m happier with the 2.0 Beta. Trucks still slow. Can’t out tow my fathers Colorado or keep up and your gonna get 18-19mpg cruising at 75-85 mph like a normal human.

    Roger that...I see RushT reported that his truck (in n.Tex similar to mine) came with 04b60 and that it needs 04b61 using "ts". Do I accomplish this, the dealer, or does the overtune accomplish this? What is TS?

    According to Spike, I don't have much time to purchase this kit this fall..The site suggests that all I have to purchase is the "Tacoma Flash Tuning Package" ..699.00.. anything else required? I have a windows ver.7 laptop

    Once you do order and pay, get on your computer and begin the registration process right away so that you get your registration key for your computer. Don’t wait till you get your kit! It will take a few days to get the registration key and you do not have to have your kit in hand to get it it. You will thank me for this info.

    Your welcome bud, I just hate seeing people buying the kit and thinking that they have to wait for it to get to them before they download the software and register their computer. Doing it this way, you should get your registration key before your kit and be able to flash the tune as soon as it arrives.
    Ps. If you know your ECU (probably 04B04), go ahead and download the tunes you want to try. I would suggest the 2.0 Beta- it’s the best ever for my truck. Get it here-https://www.ovtuned.com/pages/2-0-public
    And spend a few hours reading this thread to learn all you can about using the tune software.

    I have no idea what my ECU is. Truck is 2017 TRD Sport Manual.

    I have heard it is better to flash TSB for manual transmission from another thread first, and then ov tune. Now need to figure out if OV tune software can flash that or I need something else.

    So...the downloaded flash manager exe program faults..fails to open.. perhaps I should uninstall it and try the other offered choice.. this laptop is a 64 bit machine, but the exe file won't open

    Nope, OVTune software won’t do it. Techstream is what you need. If you are near Baton Rouge, I’ll do it for you. Takes 2 minutes.
