Anyone tried SSP with 2.0 ?

 

Using a SSP with OVT seems counterproductive and pointless. May as well just sell your tune hardware to someone else if you're going to have your truck effectively ignore one of the biggest goals/changes (for AT owners) provided by the tune

 

Im curious, but afraid to flash latest iteration. I hate performance tip in parking low speed/backing up situations. Although im bored and want to flash something on my truck.

I’ve been digging the tune since I got some more miles on it. The tip in at times is still a bit touchy for me but it’s not too bad.

 

That could be a good year! when the new Tacoma’s come out
And boise will definitely be a different place by then

Hi everyone, sorry to come in late to the party but I’m new to this tuning thing. I got a 2018 TRD Sport 6 speed manual. I was looking to get my truck tuned, but i have no idea where to start. I’ve been reading about different types for different engines and honestly i got a popsicle headache lol. Can anyone give me some guidance? @OVTune help please?

 

No need, at least for me, i have not used my SSP ever since 2.0 released back on Aug 9th. I am all stock 04B04 87 octane (i am still on the first 2.0 release from Aug 9th, i tried the second release but went back to first, the first just seemed better for my driving habits, i like driving in the first 1/4 throttle range)

 

have a stock truck, I've tried the 2.0 performance tunes and really like them. It took a bit to get adjusted to the tip in but not really a big deal for me. I'll probably run this or similar tunes till the snow starts falling then shift back to a base tune.

 

Welcome! It's confusing because there are so many different ECU IDs for these trucks, but basically after you buy the tune, you read your trucks ID, then you pick the tune you want that is available for your truck. There's basically a base/mpg tune and a performance tune.
If you don't want to wait, you may want to pull the trigger on ordering, otherwise the kits won't be available for about a month.

 

On the o4b04 tune now. When i download the 2.0 tune and try and flash i get errors. Is there something extra I need to do or is this tune not availble for 04b04?
