my initial reaction to this is your virus software is scanning your hard drive behind your back and putting necessary files into a quarantine state. might want to check.

 

The 2.0 gearlock is very nice as well

 

I thought this too, already checked. I even had both windows and my antivirus/firewall stuff completely disabled when trying to run the software. It worked before, but wont now. Didnt bug me much before but now 1.05.1 is out lol. I cant stand not having the latest when I know I'm behind.

 

Build 11600 with 4.88s

Only put about 50 hours miles on so far. But aside from the aggressive tip in this is by far the best tune yet. The ability to hold 5th and 6th on the highway is amazing. Also drove up one of the canyons and it cruised along nicely at 2000-2500 rpm at 35mph with out the constant up down shifting.

I know it's a bit too soon for a zendesk review but my only dislike is the tip in. Even with 33" tires it's a bit jerky. I never spun the tires even on dirt roads but had to make an effort to be super easy on the gas.

Cant wait to see the final build of 2.0! But this build with a softer throttle and OLE capacity would be amazing!

 

I will have them online as soon as we have everything setup clearly, and the other handhelds out for pending orders.
It's 2 separate processes between flash kit owners and non. As the flash kit owner handhelds will be speaking with us directly about what tune(s) from FM they want to load to it. All of this information will be available to everyone in the next few days, we just wanted to get all pre orders out the door.

 

Between the bass boat, camper, and utility trailer, I tow regularly. I'm completely OK with the ECT not operating in the beta. I just flashed the latest tune a few days ago and if the shift points work fine when towing, then all is good. My other concern is if I can finesse the boat in the garage with the twitchy on-off throttle at tip in. I have about 2 inches clearance on each side of the boat. It's much better than 1.05 performance so looking forward to getting the boat out and seeing how it all works.

So far, this is the most normal the truck has ever driven. I'm pleased with the update so far.

 

@OVTune and Tune users: I've been running the original 2.0 Beta release for 04B04 4.88's with GL for about 1500 miles now. So far nearly perfect - SO …. I just did a complete flush and fill on the trans at 37,000 miles and used the SG2 for identifying fill level check temp. All the flush and fill procedures went as planned = no issues = better than the 600 lb monkey at the mother ship would put into it. Now the shifting is different. Not wrong. Not bad. Just different in a better way. So for those of you having shifting issues - it could be your transmission fluid level is not correct and not the TUNE. Still 100% Tune Satisfied. BTW I did have the dealer do a check when I took possession and they said it was 3/4 qt low. My full F&F told me it was still low to the tune of 8 oz.

yup. A few ounces makes a huge diff in these trucks. It’s super simple and people still refuse to do it for some reason...

Glad to hear it’s working for you man! I’m on the original 87 base 4.88 2.0 and I’m switching to the new 91 4.88 this week after I cycle some old fuel out.

I heard the tip in decays a little after much driving.

Back on topic. How do yall feel about the amount of engine braking on this latest beta? I feel like I lost a lot of roll and sometimes get that slam between slowing down for a stop sign and getting back on the skinny pedal. Am I alone?

 

You might want to send a ticket in to @Zendesk before posting on here, that is what Mat has asked for us to do. Anything about the performance of the tune needs to be given to @OVTune first so they can address it first. Thanks.

 

Windows 10 by any chance? If so, when the MS Mothership forces a download on you, all kinds of weird stuff can happen. I believe updates have changed the computer ID on some users forcing them to get a new reg file from Mat. Best of luck.

 

A bit jealous seeing everyone is on the 19770 beta. I can't wait to try it out if it is better or not. In regards to updating Windows 10. I was reluctant at first to do the update due to some reports of registry changes that disabled OVTUNE. Finally, I updated and OVTUNE application opened and I was able to flash without delays.

 

Can someone who has installed and running the cat less dump tubes please PM me for some questions? I put a request ticket (#9913) in 13 days ago @OVTune and all I received is the canned response that they are looking at it? I would think 13 days would be more than enough time for a response. Thank you in advance!

 

Depending what the question is on some tickets, we don't respond. If it's anything along the lines of " can this delete codes, will these pass emissions, will I get a check engine light and can that be fixed, etc" we are not going to respond to it at all in most cases

If the ticket is something else we will get a response as fast as we can. Right now we are prioritizing tickets for customers waiting for updates due to the volume of everything going on, and we start setting up our new shop in 4 days.
