Exactly. So I’m wondering how people are selling their license to use the tune. I’ve seen it several times. Not sure how that is happening.

Ok. I sent an email yesterday.

 

We don't sell licenses for tactrix cables. Our cables are specially made my tactrix and we only license with proof they are our cables, like sending us a picture of the bar code and serial.


Our cables are made by tactrix but are not tactrix 2.0 cables. You can't use them with ecuflash, you can't tune your Subaru with them, etc etc.

 

Anything on dump tube tunes? I was told a week ago that my dump tube tune would be sent to me. I have received nothing and my taco is running rich as heck! Along with my dashboard lit up. I understand that it is supposed to be posted “this weekend”. I was told a few times it would be provided with the dump tubes and nothing?!

Doubt it - and honestly I feel like it would be better without, for Beta at least. By introducing more more variables, people give even more erroneous feedback, than is already given. It looks like Mat is putting out all of the beta tunes as 91 tunes, and making methodical changes as he goes. This will make it easy for him to change timing tables for the final product to allow use of 87 octane.

 

You didn't get the first version of the dump tube tune? It will still have CELs but at least it tweaks fuel and ignition. Hoping the updated tune is released this weekend too.

 

I hadn't tried this yet, but part of me just thought they were unmarked Tactrix 2.0 cables. My subie is now sad.

 

Any one know if updating tire size is possible when using 91 performance tune...in other words am i able to tell the truck it's new shoe size

 

@OVTune Does this mean the cable will not work with Techstream as well?

 

No. This is a tentatively planned enhancement to the tune, but no firm word as to when/if it will actually happen. For now, if you want to correct for tire size automatically, you'll need a HyperTech or similar.

I don’t think anyone on here wants to see my full conversation with Mat on this. I believe I have have the right to bring this too the forum and have left out a long string of emails with, Yes, ticket numbers for each. I have already read one forum member with the dump tube tune on here and I went about the correct way to resolve this. I sent my request to the support desk and was very patient on waiting for responses. I have posted very little on this forum because people are quick to judge others. I’ve taken the correct steps and my problem Is my truck is running very rich and I would just like it to run correctly. That is all any of us want.

 

No...that’s all I was asking for. I would take Any version of the dump tube tune ! I am hoping it is released today but the weekend is winding down so that is why I posted this here. I was going to ask you for it but we know that isn’t allowed and I completely understand why. So I am trying to be patient and did do what was asked of me. Now I Am simply asking for what I was told would be provided with the dump tubes.

 

I understand your frustration. My DTs should be delivered Tuesday so haven't been sent any version of the tune. Sorry I can't help...

 

Why did you install the tubes before you had the tune? Seems rather foolish in my opinion.
