This is where forums are bad. Everyone reads comments and automatically assumes their truck will behave that way . Flush out what everyone else has said and draw your own conclusions. Just my 2 cents. Every trk is different even though they are all the same!

Could take your laptop with you. I have always run 91 tunes, so I take it with me on road trips in case I can't get 91.

-19800 builds are done, will be posted on page probably tonight
    - 04A60 beta will be available also
    - Handhelds are being programmed right now for shipping, expect tracking updates today / tomorrow
    - Email update for Flash kit accessory handhelds will be sent to everyone this week, with included instructions
    - OFT Handhelds will have base versions of our 2.0 with 87/91 octane options. (future file updating is pretty simple)

    - 2.0, when released, will be the last free development update on this platform.
    - I am working as fast as possible and as much as possible. If this is not good enough.. just go elsewhere. I am really just tired of it. Complaining to me after having (for some users) 18+ months of free updates is just ridiculous.
    - As always... if you don't like a tune version, but do like a different one, then go back to that one, don't continually use the one you don't like and complain about it.
    - Beta tunes are betas. Your freedback is what will improve (or make worse) future updates.
    - I cannot perform magic. There is no way to make an 87 tune with 93 octane power.
    - Updates are free and NOT required. Please remember this.
    - Please read our instructions.

No OLE on 16012, which is my favorite 2.0 beta. I've been running it for a few weeks and it's practically perfect for me.

16012 is not OLE, it's 91/93 only. 01009 was the only 2.0 OLE beta released AFAIK.

Listen to the customer feedback that actually helps improving your products (and you are already doing this), and ignore the noise (makers).

In this day and age of instant gratification and short attention span, there will always be irrelevant noise. Learn to ignore it. I know it's easier said than done, but you have to do it, otherwise it will impact negatively all aspects of your life.

Thanks for the update. It is pretty sad when people complain about free updates, or that a beta tune isn't perfect. OVTune could have charged us for each version of the tune, and I for one am grateful that we have been able to get these for free.

Nice update, I’m glad 2.0 is the final version. Happy to move on to 5.29 and tire size mods, and superchargers.

Well said and don't blame you. Will this tune tonight be in an 87 version?

    Thank you @OVTune

I am looking fwd to 19800 and the final 2.0. I appreciate what you have done for these trucks and even more for putting yourself out here for discussion. I would have thrown in the towel long ago. Not trying to be a fan-boy here, but the tune has been well worth the money and the waiting. Keep in mind the silent majority is just that, mostly silent, and there are a lot of happy 3rd gen Tacoma owners out there with your tune. I think I am in a group of many that will now keep a truck that I was going to unload in a losing trade-in. When (and if) you get a OVTune logo decal, I'll fly it on my truck.

I would agree with you. My truck did like OLE variants. It was sluggish regardless of the octane, not to mention slight TC shudder in very narrow range of speed/rpm/load.
19770 is totally meeting my expectations in driveability department. I did not have any issues with managing power on long trips and stop and go traffic. TC shudder yet to be felt.

Yes, there could be some improvements, but overall 19770 Is above all other versions.
Hoping to see 87 octane and separate versions without OLE.
    My wish list.
-the engine braking could be tamed a bit or moved below certain threshhold speed. Engine braking prevents coasting and this is an annoyance to me.
    - not sure if it works for others, but I never was able to produce. Per manual, shift from D to S should put you in 4th or 5th based on the speed. Mine goes to 4th at 60, 70 mph, I chickened out to try at 80.

What will be the final list of features for the 2.0 update?
    Tune swap with cruise Control?
    5.29 gears?

Edit: you should probably remove the "free updates" part of your product page if that will no longer be true. Even then you'll probably still get a flood of credit card disputes.

2.0 is the end of the road. No more beta. Finished. No more updates. Next Stop CUSTOM = You request you pay. True.

That isn't what his post said, nowhere did it specify that the only further updates would be custom tunes. Only that they wouldn't be free. I also struggle with calling them free updates since the page on the store specifically lists updates as an included feature of the tune, so they aren't "free" they're just baked into the base price.

Don't buy it then. Suffer with the masses and stay with what the mother ship released. All your choice. It's is a "free" world!
