I already bought the tune. The fact that it is/was in active development was a major selling point. So the updates themselves, as advertised, are a feature of the product we've all purchased.

What sucks is not everyone can be satisfied and some have legitimate issues but either way all the stupid whining just screwed everyone that is patient and loving the hard work and free updates.
I’ve been here since the beginning, still running 1.03 ( dealer is going to update to b04) so I can install 2.0. Hope this is going to be all I need cause looks like we’re all going to pay the price for a few crybabies...

Stop calling them free updates, they were advertised on the store as a feature. Just because you don't pay for them individually doesn't mean you didn't already pay for them in the base cost of the tune.

Kings, 275/70/17, a few custom items, lots of Meso mods.
If you think about it, it won't be that hard. He will just put out a final version with no more updates. Just tunes for the newer version ECU's that will come out. That way he can put more time into his other products.

One could easily argue that none of the tunes to date have been final products, as the tunes have been in constant development. The final 2.0 release is suppose to be the first complete and stable release to date, without the necessity for future development. This was not the case with any of the other releases - they were all unfinished products, so to speak. So to this point, we’ve all been receiving update for no additional cost.

Mat would be a mad man to continue providing updates at no cost, when he will finally have a stable release that could be considered a final product. Any additional features cause an enormous amount of additional work on his end considering the amount of ECU versions out there, and can’t realistically be expected for free. I’m sure he’ll clarify at some point what will constitute additional charges, etc.

Maybe they will open up the older program to allow those users to self/pro tune.

edit: saw this on Facebook from about a month ago.

“Because we will be allowing people to do self tuning with the flash kits soon too :)

I honestly can not believe that people are giving Mat such a hard time. At the end of the day he is the only guy out there that is working hard to make our trucks better. 1.05.1 is so much better than the stock tune. Maybe everyone should run the stock tune for awhile so they remember how good of a product the OV Tune is. Just to top it off he is always offering support to people. If I were him I would of shut down to the tacoma market along time ago, I couldn't deal with the :frusty:.

On a side note I can't wait to see how all your forced induction test come out! I will have my card ready to go :spending:. Take care Mat and thanks for the great product!

Today was the last day to purchase anything from the site until Nov-Dec. Just speculating, but maybe this was done at end of business today as part of the shutdown as they transition to a new facility.

sortof stock. 6112/5160, pro wheels and a tune.
i ordered mine this past weekend, been waiting to do this for a while. with everything i’ve read, looks like the tube solves most of the common nuisances of the drivetrain/programming. i can’t wait to get it on.
now, i’ve read almost 1200 pages, but i gave up, couldn’t do it anymore. on a stock size tired truck- what does the base 87 tune do vs the 87 performance? and this gear lock, that is only part of the 93 perf tune right? like i said, i read a lot, including from the end backwards.

Base tune has a more controlled throttle “tip in”
Performance tune throttle “tip in” is more sensitive, but easy to get use to
Gear Lock is the performance tune with what was said above.

    Agreed. In traffic it’s something.
That’s why I ended up using 91 base mostly.
I’m on the first 2.0 drop still and have been on it for almost 4K miles. Can’t wait for this next drop. Skipped the last one.
