Thanks for all of the hard work Mat. I loaded 19800 this morning and noticed the tip-in changes immediately after a ten minute idle period. I will provide a full review after driving through a tank of gas, but thanks for the effort! I liked 19770, but trying to feather the throttle when hooking up to a trailer was challenging. It should be much easier with 19800.

ok, i found this entry, but this is mention to the brake behavior:
"Vehicles with an automatic transmission: To maintain engine braking
efficiency and charging system performance when using engine
braking, do not use the transmission in D. If in the S mode, the
transmission shift range position must be in 5 or lower."

Is this true for the 4.88 tune as well?

Dump pipes came in today but I wont be able to get them installed for another month or so due to moving. I did get the DirtyDeeds exhaust installed yesterday which has been sitting in the garage for two months and it sounds really nice, no raspiness at all. Got a CEL so when the new 4.88 tune is up on the site I will scan the ECU to see what the code is and then flash new tune and clear all learned values and check engine codes. Hopefully when OVTune releases the tune file for the catted dump pipes it will take care of the CEL if it comes back. I saved the secondary cats from the stock exhaust in case I need to get them welded in to the DirtyDeeds mid pipes.

you got a check engine light from their exhaust? Assuming you still have stock manifolds right? You should not be getting any check engine light with our catted dump tubes or any exhaust POST cat

Sounds like you have an exhuast leak somewhere if that code is related to the emissions system.

Yes the stock dump tubes are still on, the new mid pipes from DirtyDeeds have no cats. I will run the code tonight to see what it is.

your mid-pipes are most likely causing the CEL if there were O2 sensors in it.

Flashed 19800 91 oct this morning with 55 miles and the tip in feels spot on. I put it in 4hi/lo for a quick test and the throttle felt sooo much better. I will report back after a couple tanks of both 91 and 87 to get a better feel.

This version doesn’t have octane learning enabled. If you flashed 91, don’t run anything lower... at least it’s not recommended (by Mat)

just saw the post without looking at the username. You’ve been around a while and know better, but can’t say the same about others.

The second set of cats? I'd thought that they weren't monitored or something like that?

Thats what I thought too, Im gonna have to crawl under and check for exhaust leaks and O2 sensor connections. The mechanic said that the lack of back pressure from the secondary cats may decrease effectiveness of the primary cats and cause the CEL to come on. I bet the catless dump tubes will throw a check engine light for those that went with those. Waiting on the 4.88 19800 build to post so I can flash and reset everything.
