Catless dump tubes installed last night runs strong on 2.0 beta even with the check engine light on. Waiting on 04B13 PCM files...

Thanks for the feedback. How long did take for the install and which 2.0 beta build are you on?

How much louder is it? Is that the only modification to your exhaust?

FWIW I am a mechanic, I used the shop and hoist after work and I have all the tools possibly needed for the job. It took me just a little over an hour on the hoist. I am on the latest 2.0 beta for the 04B13 M/T. I also have the URD cat delete Y pipe and a flowmaster dual outlet system with a resonator installed so I am completely catless now. It is noticeably louder after the install but I knew this going in. I am hoping Mat will consider a file that can turn of the CEL so I can get my traction control and ABS back...

Yes @OVTune , any update on this? I've got a handheld that's been sitting on my shelf like a brick ever since it was delivered 2 weeks ago.

This is exactly what I was talking about emailing to people yesterday but could not because we had no power for 8 hours. I am working on sending these emails out today.

    2.0 Build 19800 91 Octane Feedback

    Tip-In is perfect.

2-3 and 3-4 shifts are still way too early, even under modest acceleration. Torque converter lock in 3 and 4 compounds the problem. Straight line acceleration at mild to 1/2 pedal makes the truck labor after the 2-3 shift, almost like it still doesn’t know the throttle position or load requirement. Nine times out of ten, TC lock occurs immediately after the 2-3 shift, and then a second later unlocks. Same for 3-4 shift and TC lock. If the TC is going to lock and then immediately unlock, I prefer it to just stay unlocked and not lose the truck’s accelerating momentum. I still question why TC lock is even needed in third. You mentioned on Tacomaworld that the 2-3 and 3-4 shift timing would be tricky (too soon verses too late), I would love to help test “too late” shifts. Of all the tunes that I have used (v1.04 and up), the 2-3 and 3-4 shifts, along with TC lock, have been the shortcoming.

I will also say that 2.0 Build 10867 (both 87 and 93) had much better 2-3 and 3-4 shift timing than any other tunes. Except for tip-in, both variants of 10867 were the best my truck with my driving style has ever experienced.

I am 100% on pavement, mostly city driving. 53 years old, just looking for it to drive like a "normal" vehicle. I am eager to help if needed.

Nothing for 04B13's M/T with PCM flash (dongle versions) yet.

Well said. Spot on in every regard. I think your concerns are already on Mat’s radar though. Keep in mind, the only difference between this latest version and the last one is the tip-in.

So I'm still running the Octane learning version of 2.0, and my setup required the dongle to tune. Looks like these new files are all for dongle less using the P5Flash utility and not the PCM Flash version.

    Is this correct?
