First off, You'll need to follow the instructions (attached) to give Mat the System ID, so he can give you the Registry Key. Install the Registry Key on your computer to register the software.

I carefully watched the youtube video and I paused it at each step:

You may need to temporarily deactivate virus protection, run the software as Administrator, and update the software for it to work.

The link to the latest tunes is here: https://www.ovtuned.com/pages/2-0-public

When you Identify your ECU version (electronic control unit, instructions in the video and the attached) you'll want to download the tune for your specific ECU. You can download them into the "C"drive > Users folder > (your User name) > Toyota Flash Manager > tunes > 1.05 folder.

When you use the "Flash It" function of the software, you can pick the latest map that you downloaded. Hope this helps. GL!

Do you have an aftermarket headunit? Especially one that shows vehicle status as one of the display screens? If so, disable OBD2 communications in settings.

Ah..I just found out that the "download drivers" was being inhibited by my malware software...I disabled that and taddah..the download worked. The video was good, It is much better that the Tacoma Flash Manager "see instruction" section. Since I didn't understand the process, I used the link contained in the "see instruction" section and downloaded the p5flash utility from there..It still seems to work, although I won't really know till I try it with the key.

Can’t seem to find the answer to this.

From the looks of it, people trading in for a 2020 model can email OVTune to change “ownership”

My question is how long before there is 2020 Tacoma support though

Will all depend on the ECU and how many changes, if any, it has.

My understanding is that Mat needs data from the 2020 ECU - so you will be providing him that data, and in turn he will write a tune for the new ECU version(s). I do not believe (although could very well be wrong..) he will offer this free of charge once the new ECU version(s) have been accounted for.

    Doesn't exist

    Two different types of encryption.

You are welcome to use 1.05 or 1.05.1 or any of the other betas while you wait, as you requested a specific build, not anything of what we have currently released.

FYI for the people growing tired or impatient about betas. They are betas. We don't have to release any betas.

Also, if you anyone is waiting on a specific tune build that deletes check engine lights for exhaust, you will never receive this, per EPA.

    Also -
The difference between 19770 and 19800 is *JUST* the throttle. All this talk of now the truck shifting weird etc again....I changed ONLY the throttle.

I was alluding to catless 19800 pcm files versions while I wait for the custom file.

I said that, in this tread, at least 10+ times over the course of several months that we cannot, specifically, delete check engine lights. I said it before a single dump tube was ever sold.

I follow this thread daily since June 2017 when I ordered my kit. Don't remember anything that specific just legal disclaimers.

I am 100% certain I have said it many times we cannot disable check engine lights on trucks used in the USA with the only exception being trucks used exclusively for off - road use. And even then, the EPA is changing their terminology on what is "exclusive off road" use going into 2020 which I also talked about.

Regardless I have said we have a version of the tune for catless dump tubes that *should* fix the issue, but not guaranteed, and I absolutely know I've said that more times than I can count.

We appreciate all the support that we get from this community. But please understand creating all these files, all these options, and products takes time. I also have a life outside of business to deal with as well.
Regarding the pcm vs p5flash ordeal. We may just have to require anyone with a dongle kit *must* update to our newer software, even though people are so adamantly against it. Otherwise, you'll have to wait until the builds are out for that specific flashing app.
