I think he was saying that he drives a stock 2018 truck.

In the past, some people have mistakenly thought that the "stock" files are meant for anyone with a stock truck.

Here's what they wrote, so I'm just making sure they understand:
"I am using 1.05 stock 2018, the tune was just installed, so I am just putting miles on it."

Right, but the stock tune files do not have "1.05" anywhere in the filename. For example, here's the stock file for my ECU:

    JWDCMDJ0KTU1H811A1_04A61 STOCK.p5f

Mat has not released instructions for handhelds yet . I dont expect instructions to be released until 2.0 is released in its final form.

Thanks for the input...yes..I understand that the stock option was just there to put the ecu back to original..but your comment may be helpful to others..I won't be going into the beta choices till I've given the 1.05 option a fair shake.. I continue to read and learn while monitoring this forum.

    Regards

Probably saying his truck is stock without other mods?

I personally have made the mistake of referring to 'stock' when I meant the 'base' tune fwiw, I am sure others have said that on accident meaning the former as well.

Can you expand on this, I was under the impression just the 2.0 was beta (which I would label 2.0.0-beta)? Sorry I am a software engineer so versioning is very intentional and meaningful to many. Eg, 1.0.0 > stable major release, 1.1.0 > minor release, 1.0.1 > patch. In an ideal world anything beta/alpha should be tagged as such in the filename unless I am completely off base here on the intentions behind release versions/naming for tunes.

PS - This is far from a complaint, just an observation...super thankful for all the hard work these guys have done!

Regarding the Flash Manager..ver.1.04 ...Could someone tell me what the "FOB" option is/does for the 1.05 tune? It isn't there if you opt for 1.05.1..
    (2018 04-A61-AT are the settings)

    Thanks

I guess I could have worded it different, they have all been development tunes, 2.0 versions are just the latest step...

FOB is a performance tune for the M/T's

Regarding FOB..I am a little surprised that the M/T option would be available when I have specified that the tunes I desire/need are for automatic transmission 04-A61-AT..

Perhaps why it is call beta?

    Regards..

I'll have to agree with you also. 2018 04A61 here running 16012 since it was launched. Never tried anything after that.

I recently ran 16012 with 89oct for around half a tank because I was switching from 19800 87. I didn’t feel any issues or anything but it just didn’t get up and run like it does with 93oct. But I filled up with 93 a couple days later since it still hasn’t been confirmed if it’s OLE.
