I'm not here to argue about McAfee vs any other virus scanning or firewall software. Its worked quite well for us over the past 25+ years, before Windows Defender ever existed. If y'all don't like it that's fine, but it's part of the protections we use. Besides, I've been around this site long enough to know that many of you just like to argue. If someone says "Up"... y'all say "Down". That's just the way it is around here. And every single one of you is ALWAYS right.. no matter what you say. :amen:

McAfee is garbage. This does have relevance because your posting here about TECHNICAL issues. Some of us here happen to do some of this stuff for a living. You are the reason why I have a job so thank you.

If you have followed this from day 1, then you would have seen several mentions and LOUD WARNINGS to disable or uninstall your anti virus because it catches pcmflash

Also, if you run such an important business off your laptop, why are you using it to flash your truck?

I do not run a business even close to 1.6M yet i still have a completely separate laptop i picked up just for this, and has no antivirus to lower risk of it quarantining pcmflash. Not sure i get your reasoning here but it is the internet after all.

Okay, through my 2nd tank on 1.02B.
This truck feels like it's back to its old ways.. or it's just me. searching for gears again, and the throttle isn't as responsive anymore.

I can't speak for the tranny, but some throttle delay and sluggish power delivery did creep back in over time in my truck. Some guys have had very good luck with this release though.

So because landlines existed before smartphones does that make them a better tool? I'm sorry to say but McAfee does not stretch its claws deep enough into your OS for any modern protection. Google next Gen AV. Definition updates are not enough for modern cyber security. People here who work in this field, myself included, are trying to give you legitimate advice and you're kind of a being a dick by brushing them off as people who just want to argue.
