Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

Please plug the handheld into your computer and run the manager software, save the stock data (there is an option for this save data) and email it to us.



The handheld comes with several pre-loaded tunes but for some ECU versions it does not. (like old ECUS 04B00.. 04B01.. etc)

 

Where did you find these instructions?

 

I got them through zen desk before OV said that they couldn’t be used until 2.0 final. I’m just going to wait it out, I’m on the tune I want now anyway.

@TurdHawg, How long after the email to OVTune for HH instructions did you wait for the reply?

 

I think I got in before OV decided to wait until 2.0. I’m not sure you’ll get a reply at this point and may have to wait until 2.0.

 

we are still responding to tickets as we get them and sort them, getting the software out to people.





Also we would like to do a little bit of decluttering on some extra stuff we have as we work on this new shop.

Ha. No worries. Its all pretty funny. Sure wish my stock wheels were 17's though. Seems like the only tire worth a damn that is light, strong, and able (in a 16") is the c-load dura trac. At 5'5" I'd sure like a power drivers seat to find that sweet spot though.

 

Just clicked 27k and been fighting my piece of crap entune since day one. I think 2 years ago I decided on Ovtune instead of Alpine, same price. Made the right choice but entune is garbage.

 

Just asking. Have you updated the Entune app?

 

Think so. Its been back and forth to Toyota to make it work better and still acts up.

 

If you connect your phone to the port and connect with Entunes, then scroll on the head display to settings "UPDATE" try that? GL. edit: update your phone first.

Then why would Toyota say they improved it? Why would new owners lament about said improvements?

 

Yeah the way he phrased his answer to the question about the calibration made it sound like there’s no change from 2019.

anyone with a 2016 download and update the - Entune™ Premium Audio Systems-Operating System update and have issues?

 

I have a 2017 with the premium package and have done the update with no luck.

 

maybe I'll hold off then, I have no issues at all, never have, with the system.

 

Because Toyota wants to sell trucks, and the new owners want to believe it's changed and is better.

 

or maybe some have no issues. I had no issues with the engine/tranny, no shifting issues, no CC issues,
nothing. I got the tune looking for more power and nothing else.

 

I see your point. My 2017 had all sorts of issues. The worst was pulling into traffic and it literally taking 2 or 3 seconds to decide what to do.
