Cc in S5 w/ GL holds for me. S6 will too unless the grade drops the rpms enough to force a shift.

 

Lucky you, not me. 75 and going over a overpass GL in 5 and will still drop to 4. Maybe it's fixed in final 2.0 but love it either way.

 

Based on what I've read here and emails via ZenDesk, we can use our HH whenever the "ECU lock" error is fixed by OpenFlash. I did find the link to OVT's instructions, but they won't work until that error is fixed. This was never communicated to me as a HH purchaser, I only learned this by reading here.

I would hope that OVT would contact HH owners, but haven't heard of such a plan.

 

Correct, but that's only on 2018+ Trucks, and we sent an email out for all orders regarding that. There are still some I need to reply to though

Sorry but can you clarify what you mean by the "accessory handheld"? Is this for those who already have the tune via dongle or tactrix, and THEN purchased the HH?

 

The accessory handheld is the handheld version for people who already own the flash kit, and is ONLY for those customers.

So, to be clear, on the final 2.0, I will not be able to access map 3 "tow mode" (ECT+S mode) without using gear lock? I tow 5000# pretty regularly and would still like the truck to shift on its own as required. Towing with the stock tune was ECT with S mode in S4 or S5 to lock out the over drive gears, but still had auto operation.

 

I think there will still be non-gearlock versions of the tune, but that part of the info is a bit murky/confusing. I'm not sure what the AT maps/options will look like when there's no gearlock at all.

I personally don't want anything to do with GL -- especially when towing!

 

I believe that with 2.0 final, gear lock will be an option you’ll select when downloading on FM. Some will want the gear lock feature, some won’t.

 

Is it clear that on Nov 15 everything will be available for sale again? Same pricing as before the shutdown? Will shipping times be any better or still on the order of weeks? Are free updates gone for good because of trolls?

It will still downshift when the rpm and speed drop too low, and it will not upshift past the gear you select. When you come to a stop, it will upshift through the gears until you get to the gear you lock on, you don't need to shift up through the gears yourself.

 

Our prices will not be changing. Just a different structure to how things are done, and some new products.

Getting 5:29 and OVtune installed tomorrow. 2019 auto double cab.

Running 35’s with amour.

Any input on which tune I should run with this setup? Base or performance with gear lock? Shop owner is telling me he has had a few similar trucks recently start with performance but brought back in shortly after to switch to base. ‍♂️

Anyone with a similar build have any input? The shops 4hrs away so I’d like to get it right the first time.

Question concerning the Performance gear lock... can it be locked (ect button) on the fly or does it have to be shifted i to “S mode” from a dead stop?

 

On the fly I believe but would wait for others to confirm, I’m not on latest GL.

Mine works on the fly in D or S mode. Turns on and off with ECT on and off. (2.0 beta 19800).

 

Since beta file sharing is okay, can these be sent through e-mail to another person who has already bought in, but, say, missed a tune they want to try but missed?

Yes I wish there was a place to get some of the old tunes. I was hoping they would just keep adding them and not take them down. I was 04B03 for a long time until I shamed the dealer into doing update. I should have just been storing them the whole time but by the time 04B03 was abandoned for 04B04 it was to late. It was against the rules for a long time to share the files. If anyone has them all I would like to figure a way to get them all especially the 105. And early ole 2.0.
