@OVTune couldnt find it on search but doe the OpenFlash Tablet tuner work on the 2019s? Website says 2016-17 and wasn’t sure if that’s a typo.

 

i asked him this AM. And was told the 18-2020 HH will be avail In about a week.

 

Totally different feeling vehicle. The pick-up is much smoother, both from standing and from rolling. The pick-up is also much faster, not having to wait for it to downshift, instead just staying in gear. Also the shifting was super smooth, no funny jerking business.

If someone sold their truck with ovtune, the dongle version....could the new owner just take over, or is something else needed?

 

I decided to pull the trigger the day after he went offline and this has been the hardest wait I've had to endure for awhile. Now that I placed my order, if you need me, I'll be waiting next to my mailbox.

Quick question for the crowd. I'm assuming that I'm going to get my registration key for the software before the cable shows up. My friend bought OVTune. Do you think I would be able to use his cable on my registered laptop or is the cable locked down?

Once you have paid for the tune, registered your computer, installed FM and downloaded your tunes all you need is the cable. Whether it arrives in the mail or your friend shows up with one makes no difference.

In other news, any feedback from people running the 4.88 tune with 5.29s?

What info are you looking for from the people with 4.88’s?

 

Shift points mostly. Seems like people’s biggest complaint with 5.29s is how quick it shifts.

 

My friend told me I could, but considering his track record on being correct I assumed that meant I couldn't.

 

I like my 4.88’s and I’m only running 265/75/ r17.

75mph and I’m at about 2250rpms.

Shifts smooth and I still get 17-21mpgs

 

Has anyone been able to download the instructions for the stand alone HH model. I bought this model because I don't have a computer and my phone wont do it. Ordered this a long ago and would really like to install the tune. TIA

 

What's the shipping delay looking like these days? Are people who ordered flash kits before the temporary shutdown still waiting? Ordered first thing when I woke up today when the shop reopened... Hoping to have the tune installed for an upcoming trip over Thanksgiving but that might be optimistic if there is still a big backlog. I know Mat at OVTune has been completely swamped lately.

Based on what I see here my interpretation is that a computer is necessary... Maybe I am spreading inaccurate info though. It also looks like a link is missing about halfway down the page.

Edit: worst case I am sure you could find access to a computer somewhere for the initial setup... Or buy and then return one of you absolutely must. But again maybe I am spreading inaccurate info and should shut up... Not trying to cause problems!

Right now we are going by an inventory base so we aim to ship much quicker than before.
