Yes I would not expect your phone to open any of the files linked on that page... Those files on that page look to be .exe files and those will only run on a windows PC. Source: I am a computer programmer.

So orders placed on Nov 15 should ship within a couple business days because the odb2 kits are already on hand in inventory?

Hello gents! New member and new Tacoma owner. I had a tundra previously but wanted a bit more mpgs. So far, the Tacoma does not disappoint in that department. After searching the internet for what was causing my truck to surge I stumbled upon this site and specifically OVtune. I've tried to do my research before coming to post here but I'm not mechanically inclined and am having trouble understanding certain things. I'm hoping you guys can answer a few questions or at least point me in the right direction to find it for myself.

    1. Has anyone seen an increase in mpgs using the 87 octane tune?

    2. If you purchase the handheld, does it include access to all of the Tacoma OVtunes or is it simply an accessory to swap tunes quicker? I guess I'm asking if, in order to use the handheld, you would need to have already purchased the flash kit? I've read on the OVtune site the difference between the two but I want to be absolutely sure before I buy the handheld that I won't also need to buy the flash kit. The part that confused me is that they are both the same price. Shouldn't the one that comes with a tablet cost more?

    3. Is this easy for someone who isn't knowledgeable with ecu flashes to install?

    Thanks!

As mentioned before I'm still one the OLE 2.0 and typically run 93Oct and very satisfied with tune, especially if I enable ECT then it's just sweetness all around.

However, just curious if there have been updates with 2.0 since the summer release and if the public download page was still up. Thanks

I can answer your third question as to ease of install. Yes it is very easy to install just watch Matt’s video a couple times and you will be good! Regarding MPG I’ve only have ran the 91 tunes and have not had a change in mpg from it. Regarding the handheld, I personally would recommend the regular kit unless you plan on using the handheld for custom tuning or don’t have a laptop.

The resource page on OVtune website has a later tune 19800 that was released about a month ago. It’s still on the website.

19800 was the last beta release for ATs:

Thanks all for the update. Does anyone know why the Octane Learning feature isn't available with the latest releases? Just wanting to make sure I'm not causing any issues running the tune that did support OLE if it had bugs. Sometimes I'll switch to 87 when in states with much higher $/gallon.

After try trying every option, I settled on the same 2.0 you’re currently running almost exclusively because it has the functional ECT. I mention this because 19800 doesn’t have ECT... or OLE- two things you seem to like. Everything besides that, 19800 is better

I just want to ask before I purchase this. Should I get this OVTune? Is it worth it? Is installation simple? Thanks.

@Tig3r_Bit I might add it also prob depends what one's expectations are for the tune, to make one feel whether it's worth it or not.
For me it was indeed worth it , no regrets
