Alright, got my kit, my license and laptop is ready to rock. Confirmed my truck has 04B80. Eagerly waiting on the tune to drop before I leave for Thanksgiving!

Haven't really followed the thread for about a month. No new news right except for beta tunes coming for 2020 models?

can have the sliding glass but if you get pulled over they will add the "obstructed view" to the citation if you have an object or sticker as described, and they will tack on another fine if you have no front plate. Even worse here are the Legal firms chasing every incident looking for a way (obstructed view) to take another nickel from your pocket. I put stickers low on outer rear glass and leave the slider as-is.

I’m not sure if the 2020 release is going to include the 2.0 beta, may just be the 1.05 tunes.

    Just ordered the OVtune

    Few questions:
    1) Do you guys use the ECT power after you tune the truck? I have made a habit to turn on the ECT every time I drive as it drives better
    2) Is there anything I can do before the package comes? - I read somewhere that it takes a few days to register your vehicle or something like that
    3) Can you input the tire size when tuning so that the speedometer & odometer are correctly calibrated?

    Thanks!

1.) Highly suggest you read the OVtune blog on what ECT does for gearlock it until it comes back in the final tune to actually do what ECT originally did like it did in stock config.

I’m sure others will chime in about this as well

    2.) patience is key

    3.) no

What kind of RPMs are others seeing at 80+? Is the truck able to maintain without downshifting and jumping to 3500 rpm on relatively flat terrain? Asking for a friend with 2.0 beta.

Should one be concerned if it isn't? Could cruise control be causing trouble?

Yes. I don’t think tune is active in adaptive cruise. Cancel adaptive and use normal cruise and it should be better.

On flat terrain mine maintains 80 with cruise easily. Even a slight incline and it does fine. If it’s a fresh install of 2.0 then that could account for it. Mine downshifted a fair amount for the first 100 or 200 miles.

Not sure about 2.0 but with 1.05

“At this current time our EROM changes do NOT work for adaptive cruise. Sorry we are working on this”

You wont need it most of the time. When 2.0 final comes out, it will be a performance map. On 2.0 beta (handheld) i dont notice any drastic changes like it did stock.
