Will there be a tune option that does not require running 91 octane? Realizing that would give up some power, but curious if that will be an option. Thanks!

Hoping this brings in torque in lower rpms.

With your luck, the Dyno would get sand in your gas tank.

I'm going to have to change names lol...

But yes. There is an issue with my truck that Toyota has turned a blind eye to... But it's completely unrelated to this thread.

im hoping a mild tune will drastically improve drivability and gas milage at the same time.

I swear i get worse gas mileage because the thing cant hold an rpm and it has to down shift to recover

Any idea when a 4-cylinder tune may be getting developed? @OVTune

@OVTune I recommned that you clean the MAF sensor. Some users have been having better trottle response with that alone.

Yes, these tunes should be done ensuring the MAF has been cleaned and to be sure I'd swap out the CPS. Some of the stuff people are complaining about with the low-end and busyness is helped with these 2 things. I'm in no way suggesting tuning this bad boy to unlock the power that's under there won't have a potential MASSIVE impact, but would hate to see it design around flawed sensors that subjectively could be part of the "normal truck operation" perception.

We will look into it after this. We need to see the ECU for final determination before we can begin.

I'll make sure to look into everyone's concerns while we dyno. I'd be surprised the car would have a dirty MAF, assuming these trucks are relatively low mileage because they're new...

It not that they are dirty from use but possibly contain a film of oil of some sort after they are manufactured possibly or maybe solder flux??? Alot of people with new trucks, including myself noticed a difference. its a 10 minute job to remove clean and reinstall. There's only two screws that hold it in place at an accessable location.

10 minutes means you started the timer, drank a beer, got the tools out, drank a beer, pulled it out and cleaned it, drank a beer, put the tools up, end timer, drink a beer.
