already did that, and registered before the hardware arrived. do i have to do it again?

did you install all the drivers ? including open port?

 

did you download, click, save, install the Registration Key sent to you?

that worked, have 1.05 perf tune with 91 octane tune loaded. idling now. will test drive in a few minutes. i have 91 octane non ethanol fuel in it now. i know tunes are subject to the individual but, what is the consensus, of "THE" tune, to start with, or go with for just daily driving, hwy trips? thank you fatboyfirebase, you helped A LOT! i was lost. thank you! Would be great if 2.0 was released around Christmas....
Have a 5k round trip coming, could upload it before the rip home.. compare....

Sorry for the very likely repetitive question but I’m having a hard time finding the info and my memory is failing me! After the first flash, are there any added steps afterwards needed besides starting the truck? I want to say I’ve read here that you have to let the truck sit and idle for 5-10 minutes but unsure if I remember correctly. Thank you

 

Using the dial on the steering wheel if you want to unlock the additional Ovtune credits you must do the following.

Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, A, B, and then press the start button.

 

Truck doesn’t come equipped with anything needing unlimited ammo. Thanks though.

If anyone else knows the answer I’d appreciate it. Either way I let it idle 15 minutes and turned off then back on for a minute or so. Driving it tomorrow either way with a trailer hooked up so hopefully I’ll notice some change.

 

Flash [some like to reset transmission], idle for a few minute, and drive. Idle times seems to keep increasing everytime I come a read this thread.

 

Yeah I read several said something about resetting the learned values but I personally don’t see the point unless there’s a specific problem that may fix.

I never have understood why it has to idle but knew I had read it. Wanted to say it had something to do with octane learning but with that being temporarily removed I just wasn’t sure. Only reason I questioned it really is trying to be over precautious since this is the first time I’ve flashed the truck. Will see how it drives tomorrow. Thanks

 

Reset if you have symptoms but per Mat it is not needed. I downgraded back down to OLE bc with the latest beta I have bogging using 87octane.

 

I recall something like AT & LV values should be reset after the first time of installing OV tune on the truck?

 

The reason for letting the truck idle after flashing is to allow the truck to relearn it's idle values, but unless you've let the truck get to operating temp before flashing there's no point in letting it idle, as the manual states the truck will only begin the idle learning process at operating temperature.

These were posted awhile back but strait from the manual.

The truck was at operating temp when I flashed. Then I let it idle at least 10 minutes. Thanks
