Back in the day, we didn’t idle after flashing. We just drove. 5-10 minutes is all that’s necessary.

We walked to school, up-hill, both ways, in the snow.

Side note, updated my OVT laptop from Windows 7 to 10, kept all the files, plugged in dongle, Flash Manager started right up. Love my dongle.

any suggestions on tune to run for 2019 sport double cab with trd cat back exhaust, and stock intake? i have 1.05 performance tune in now, and i am not liking how it feels like at idle/off idle, low speeds. the idle seems too low, like the truck has a drag car stall converter, then kicks in hard when applying the throttle. very jerky at low speeds, and low throttle position. This is false. The black dongle is stubby. The purple dongle is long and in charge!!

Have you tried the 19800 tune for your truck found here: https://www.ovtuned.com/pages/2-0-public

Choose your octane and it sounds like you'll still be using stock exhaust (no aftermarket dump tubes). I'm on the 87 octane, but with 4:88's. The tip-in is more of a base tip-in. GL!

    Hey guys.
Some updates, and getting back to emails will be delayed.
Broke my arm and dislocated my shoulder yesterday.
I'll get back to things as quickly as I can.

Hey Hammer. OG dongle guy here too. I have a 2016 with 48k miles and even the stock battery (still showing 12.6 v!) I’ve never had any issues ever beyond a fuel filter replacement and warped rear drums. Maybe not looking the the OBD reader would help??? I have been tempted to get one, but I fear I would start to look at it too often, discover things I would rather not know about, and then it would make me crazy and possibly more broke. Is the only way you are discovering these codes purely through the one OBD reader you have?

I have a question for those who are running the 19800 tune and possibly any tune for that matter. After installing the tune and driving today everything was well. After work decided to go full throttle. Sadly this is where things don’t seem right. Even though I am not a wide open guy everytime I’m in the truck I do want everything to operate normal in the event I have to go all out in a passing situation.

Anyway the problem I experienced this afternoon was when you press the pedal to the floor it revs up and accelerates but has an extremely hard time shifting to the next gear. Engine revs stay up but it almost feels as if the transmission engaged a brake if that makes any sense. It doesn’t do this in just any gear nor only from a dead stop. Was going about 35-40 mph then slammed the pedal down and it did the same sort of thing going through the gears til I hit 80-85 when I let off the throttle. Another thing I tried for fun where I noticed this at first is I turned on what some call ‘fun mode’ by holding down the traction control button while in neutral for about 5 seconds. Everything disengaged and I floored it. The tires mostly just spun but when seeming to gain traction or possibly just ready to shift to second, same thing happened where the transmission took at least 2-1/2 seconds to regain power and shift to next gear and accelerate as normal. Anyone experienced something similar or is this the normal way the truck will now behave? Thanks
