Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

Its been my most used driving style for a few months now. I just catch some speed, move it over to 4th and usually dont touch another gear unless Im braking, or want to go past 70mph on the highway.

 

how are you seeing your tranny temps? I have a pioneer headunit with gauges and it give me option for tranny temp gauge but when i select it it shows a negative number and never changes. Air temps around 40-50

 

I have a dongle kit to sell. Sold the truck and no longer need it. I’ve been member for almost two years but don’t have enough posts for buy/sell/trade section. Sorry, I read more than I post. $250.00 PayPal. Will throw in Meso map lights and also have Meso headlight inserts for MGM.

I use obd fusion app on the phone and toyota PIDs.

 

X 2

 

20~miles into trip, with cruise set at 75mph (including some city driving).
21~more miles later, arrived at destination (just shut off engine).

 

Full tank effect...

 

Yea wait...how did you go through an entire tank of gas in 21 miles?

 

The engine is off the gauges go to zero.

 

The truck is turned off..

if you have a tune with 2,500 available as a beta, I would gladly use it - especially for towing!

 

I personally think for a trip like that is pretty solid. It isnt your tank MPG but if you can do that many miles and get 27mpg Id be happy with that too. I bet ur gas gauge didnt even move on that lol Whats impressive to me on that is you were doing 75mph and got that much. Sure it might of changed depending on how the drive continued but still thats solid!

 

What tunes/mods were you running? Did you also regear?

 

Was this on planet earth? How in the world did you get this MPG? Lol

IMO, anything short of multiple full tanks, that are hand calculated, has practically zero statistical value. Sorry dude, no, you don’t have a unicorn truck.

With the right environmental conditions and stretch of road, in combination with certain driving techniques, almost anyone could double the EPA rating.

 

I don't think anyone posting their trip mpg on here is saying it has any statistical value....just merely showing what their trip mpg was.
