X3 on the Surface Pro. Only issue is working around the virus protection, sometimes, and that is not really a problem.

If it has a USB port and Windows chances are it will work. I run mine on a virtual machine on a mac without any issues. The tune software just needs a USB port and a Windows operating system. I would be surprised if there was a setup with a USB and Windows that didn't work...

So does the tune and/or our trucks continue to "learn" ? I thought OVtune got rid of the learning so it would be dependably the same not random like stock. I'm on 1.05 87 base and was satisfied for awhile but lately it's been feeling almost like stock again. It was in at toyota a few weeks back I'm wondering if they flashed it? Idk but I'm eagerly anticipating 2.0 can't wait for an update.

Best Tune Ever IMO! Hoping 2.0 makes it even better. If not...I'll be switching back to ....0944!

Asked the same question a week or two ago. No responses. I never saw it and I was watching vigilantly. So I say negative. Bummer. I still am rocking 19770 04B31 and love it.

Hook up to it and launch flash utility. Try to read ecu. If it reads it, they flashed it. Possibly a TSB?

If you run the flash software and try to read the tune (meaning download it from the truck), if it balks at you then it’s still OVTuned. If it goes through the motions then it’s factory.

When I had my '14 GT500, with 662HP i was getting 20MPG, I did a pulley, intake and tune and was making 750 and was getting 22MPG, I kid you not. Of course, if I floored it, MPG suffered greatly, but with just a few torquey jaunts, it didn't make much of a difference. I could average 18mpg to 22mpg pretty easily.

OK, so I've been running beta 2 for last couple months. Put about 4500 miles on it. I like it ok, but that short shift from 3rd to 4th really pisses me off. Normal driving, step on the gas, runs up thru 1st correctly, 2nd correctly,... to about 3000, then along comes 3rd... runs to about 2300 then shifts into 4th with low rpms to start (like maybe 1500?), so then it has to shift back into 3rd when I give it a bit more gas, otherwise it would sit there too long. It needs to shift at 3,000. This happens a lot when I'm starting to go up a hill. Frustrating.
4th shifts good, and so does 5th. 3rd is the only one I'd like to be able to program shift points myself.

Same thing happens to several 2019 guys. He knows about it and supposed to be figuring it out or maybe already has. I’d imagine it’ll be fixed when 2.0 final is released. Downside for us 2019 owners is we basically have to rely on beta only tunes or risk the brake override malfunction possibility with 1.05 (from what I’ve read). Anyway for now I’m just driving with the shirt 3-4 shift and if I know I need it to shift higher rpm I’ve learned how much more gas pedal to press or just use s mode and manually shift into 4th at the appropriate time then finish up shifting.

    Good to know, thank you.
Yup, on my daily ride, I usually try to use the shifter where I know it will do it...but sometimes, I miss it and sure enough...it haunts me. :)
91 O , just doesn't get the mileage I'd think it would. I really have to try hard to get 19MPG /tank. Thats terrible... This new engine is less efficient than the last gen IMO!
Didn't know about the brake overide malfuction... I guess I'll keep it on this tune then. Doesn't seem to be in any rush to fix some of these issues. They could probably use another person working for OVT. With the products they are trying to push out, seems like they could use an extra guy working on this kind of stuff.

If I remember correctly he actually has brought another coder onboard fairly recent to help out. As for being in a rush, maybe maybe not. Not defending the guy or saying bad about him either but we don’t know what goes on behind scenes or how much work a global tune takes. I figure he could tune your truck individually if he had it at his place of business but would cost more and likely only be a one time tune. Doing a global tune that’s best it can be for the most possible is likely the complicated part and without updates it would fall to the side eventually as say if Apple quit after iPhone 3 but this guy really has no competition in the broad market that we know of yet I’m sure there are others who could offer individual tuning for a more expensive rate which I’d definitely not be willing to pay just for our trucks since the tune itself doesn’t drastically improve much other than a little more hp and tq, possibly minimal gain on mpg, and better shifting.

Speaking on fuel economy the tune doesn’t seem to help me a lot either that I notice yet. However I will say that my tank average typically net around 21 +\- 0.5 mpg. I live in Alabama and not sure how much winter gas changes the mpg but I’m getting what I averaged in summer before I ever had the tune so next summer I’ll see if there’s much of a gain and judge the mpg gains then. I’m running 91 performance tune at the moment though.

Seems like summer was better than winter. I don't live on totally flat ground either.
Yeah, It doesn't seem to need to be a one off thing, if we are all (2019) getting this short shift.
It doesnt matter, like you say, it doesn't help much anyway, in regard to fuel . Its a better driving experience than stock, thats for sure, but hitting that button and driving, really wasnt so bad. If I could do it over again, I'd just not get the tune if it doesn't work the way we want it, fully. I mean, not gas mileage, but at least shifting correctly. I've gotten a few tuns before and they all seemed to work flawless. I guess when gearing is so trashy, it makes it hard to tune.
