    I never had startup issues on the tune or the stock. But 2 week ago my stock choked up for the 1st time and recovered. Got 12 misfires. Car is garage kept, temps where in 50s. Have not seen since.

    Ive had times when the first crank interval wouldnt start the engine. i would wait a second and crank again (typically a longer duration) and it fire up. This has been consistent with my vehicle since i got it.

    @OVTune No hard start/rough idle here, but definitely have one of the higher misfire trucks. Happy to test and log if it helps find the solution.

    @OVTune . maybe this will help .

    I have noticed a difference in misfires while warming the truck after startup .
    I have 2 ways to leave home . The engine always starts quickly and runs smoothly .

    1- leave the driveway after idling for 1 min or so , slowly drive 300 ft to a hill . The hill puts a load on the engine so I drive it slowly and get about 5-8 misfires before the hill in colder (under 40 degrees) humid weather . This is all in the first 1/2 mile .

    2- The second way after 1 min idle is to drive the first 1/2 mile on flat land at low speed , just above idle , touch of gas and back and forth to idle , 20 mph or so . Doing this , I get 10 to 25 misfires in the first 1/2 mile in the same weather .

    So either this is from taking longer to warm up , or it is from a load / nonload and back condition involving the TQ , and or shifting to 3/4 gears at low speeds etc.
    Anyway , after being back on the stock tune since August because of high misfires (I get double on the OVtunes) , you may be onto something here with the DI or port fueling mix. Most of my misfires seem to happen during the gas pedal feathering times ie not under load , or complete coasting , whether on an OVtune or stock . It is much worse while towing a trailer .

    Once the truck is warm misfires all but disappear except for the same conditions- the feathering pedal times which get amplified while towing a trailer .

    This is best description of mine. Feels like it started and tried to die but didn’t.

    I wonder if the the fuel pump recall
    On the 18-19 is part of this issue? My 17 starts up with zero issues every time. No matter how cold. I have only ever had two hiccups after switching to 2.0

    I love when someone asks "who has ____ problem?", then everyone who doesn't have the problem feels the need to state that they don't have the problem. It's sort of like when someone asks "Does anybody have any questions?", if you don't have any questions there's no need to state you don't have any, you just sort of sit back and let those with the questions ask them.

    That's a full belly. :cookiemonster:

    This thread has been fucked since there were 1,000pages. The Dumbgeon is applicable to the 3rd Gen section, including when the 1st and 2nd Gen trolls come to play. We need a 4th Gen to fix it all.
