I'm having an issue with flash manager. I have an older laptop with windows 7 and I keep getting this error:

    api-ms-win-crt-runtime-|1-1-0.dll

I have tried everything that I read which is downloading the new Visual C++ update. I also ran all of my Windows Updates. However, since Microsoft no longer provides service for Windows 7 as of last week, I was unable to download the necessary Runtime C update.

Does anybody know what my options are other than buying a new computer with Windows 10?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Jason

Ordered my tune on Thursday. Downloaded software, got my System ID and emailed as the instruction video showed. Got my Reg Key Sunday morning and got shipping notification this morning. Did you send him your system ID?

I did. Ordered on the 5th and emailed system id that same night. I emailed @OVTune and he said he wasnt sure what happened And had resent my info to get the registry file.

I thought he was a one man team so who would he send it to?

His reply was last Thursday and I stillhave not received my reg key.

Reg keys are from a third party from what I understand. So he sends them the info, waits to get it back, then sends them to customer.

Any idea where I can download the Runtime C update? I already did the Redistributable Visual C++ update. Still getting the error.

My app is installed in the x86 folder so I'm going to say "Yes" based on that is appears the app is an x86 runtime. Won't hurt anything to try it.

I’m having issues with Flash Manager. I’m on step 2 of the Step 3 Instructions.
When I click on “Identify”, nothing happens.
I have the reg key installed and the flash kit hooked up. I’m not sure if this matters, but the instructions show an entry named “Tactrix Inc” and some other letters and numbers in the section at the top named “Interface”. This section is blank on my computer. Any help please?

its working now. I had to “Install OVTUNE Cable Drivers” again and then “Install Software” then “Update”. It started working properly after that. My calibration file is 04B30 by the way.
I’ll be installing the 2.0 Beta tomorrow after I download the file tonight. I’m excited and a little nervous at the same time because I read that some of the 2019 and 2020 vehicles didn’t seem to have much of any noticeable change due to those years getting updates to fix some of the issues of previous years.

I suppose I can use my OBD dongle and Carista app to find that?

I have a 2019 and it’s without a doubt noticeable. If you go with the 91 first then 87 it’s even more noticeable. Understand though if you floor it the truck will act a little weird at redline as it’ll feel like the fuel is cut. Also understand that 3-4 shift point is extremely weird and shifts way early out of 3rd going to 4th It’s not a bad thing just shifts too early and you’ll notice it.

Actually it all depends on whats going on in Matts life and whether or not he has cables. Don't be standing at the door waiting for the mailman because it is possible to take longer than what your expecting. A lot has to do with the cable that comes with the kit. If Matt has them in stock he can ship right away. If he's out and waiting for cables to be made it can take some time. You can go ahead without the kit and read about getting a registration key and learning how to do the install. Look at the 1st page of this thread and read the instructions until your blue in the face.

I will give it a try later and report back. If that doesn't work then I have no idea what to do.
