Mat, please. This all BS and you and I know it.
Explain why TSB version does not do that?
That is exact point I wanted to make.
Programmers who brushing of customers concerns are ,well, just a "programmer".
We got you all the data and narrowed it for you.
I do understand your limitations and capacities. But yet I have seen an effort of addressing our concerns.
I guess the other guy did succeed at it...

I just spent Saturday night going through a program in one of our conveyor systems. We removed a section and i had to remove a large divider, servo motor, kinetix module, door switches and all of those references in the program and in the guardmaster program.

The original programmer laid every routine out beautifully, had every tag matching exactly in the schematic.

It was so easy to do. I've only been through one rockwell class and i was able to follow it. Loaded it up Sunday morning and it ran perfectly.

I know the system well, Was there when it was installed and have been around it for 3 years. That helped tremendously.

We have some other programs that have no comments, no useful tags, and even though i know the machines well, i would have to map every input and output and match it up to do something like what i did to this one.

Bless the guys who do this with the next guy in mind.

It took longer to find the broken wire from one of our vfds to one of our motors in a 150' run than it did to modify the program.

The link you posted was for non 5.29 geared trucks. At least that was the way I interpreted it, but have not loaded it yet to test.

He's actually correct -- the last link Mat posted was for standard B04 trucks, not 5.29. The link you posted is that same link for standard B04, as well. So, I'm not sure why you're slapping your head...

Edit: and now you've ninja-edited your original post to remove "5.29" without comment. Nice.

    It's not all BS.
Once again I said I do not know why it happens on some trucks and not others.
Your individual experience does not mean that is the same experience as everyone.
on trucks that do experience it I have tested
    1. reverting all ignition timing tables back to stock > no change
    2. reverting intake VVT back to stock > no change
    3. reverting exhaust VVT timing back to stock > no change

So bad crank sensors is BS too? That evidence is in this thread!

The data I have does not tell me exactly what is the cause. I have said this I don't even know how many times, and I'm trying to further figure out why, and now you're trying to say I'm just talking BS?

For the trucks that it happens only when tuned here is what we know.
It primarily happens when the engine is still cold, at low rpm, during the first few miles of the commute. Change in octane changes the amount recorded (on some trucks), which means it *could* be ignition related, it usually does not happen when the engine is up to temp, or at higher rpm.

That does not give me the EXACT cause of it, and I'm not going to just send files blindly changing 1 map at a time until we see the rate change.

It could be ignition, it could be the vvt, it could be a combination of ignition amount and vvt and fuel when the engine is cold, etc.
That doesn't explain the trucks that do it with no tune.
I can't give an answer to something I'm still trying to figure out.

So, since your truck does it more than most, unless you are willing to personally volunteer to test files 1 by 1, the only thing I can do is continue looking through the code to see things that affect ignition when the engine is cold.

:D This thread is such a dumpster fire, for real. If Mat doesn't start a brand new thread when 2.0 drops, I don't think I'll come back here to help anyone ever again. It's like sticking your hand in a blender over and over.. and over... and...

Do you really think it will change? It’s going to be the same stuff in another thread.
