Same impression I came away with. The 1.05 was definitely noticeable immediately after the flash. 1.05 more responsive off the line and around town driving. Highway driving was different. Felt like I had to be off and on the throttle to keep the right speed. The 2.0 felt draggy off the line and around town but was better at hwy speeds.

I'm back on stock for now and enjoy it better. The 2.0 87 octane beta doesn't seem any more powerful, faster than stock. I tried the 2.0 beta 91 octane for over a tank of gas and it was no different. I don't buy the need for a few tanks of gas to appreciate the difference. I've had most of my cars tuned in the past. All the tunes performed better right off the bat. None of this tankfuls of gas for the ecu to relearn things.

Interesting to see a dyno of 2.0 Beta 87 vs 2.0 Beta 91 vs stock.

Hoping 2.0 final will be more enjoyable to drive. So far my experience with 2.0 beta has been a "meh".

    Glad you survived man.
You will be fine on any of the 2.0 betas.

Try 19770. It hauls ass. Too much tip in for some so he developed 19800.

I agree the performance oriented tunes are a riot on the road. I ran 93 Performance on my 2018 before it was smashed up and it had me grinning every time I took it out.

The only downside is off road usability. It's way way way too twitchy. Dangerously so. I'll take lack luster road performance in exchange for not puckering every time I breathe on the gas off road.

Now, with 2.0 and the ability to switch maps on the fly, I cannot wait!!

I don't know how to get 19770. The only 2.0 beta that shows up is the 19800 one from the 2.0 public page and what's uploaded to my flash manager. Is there a place to find these other tunes?

So......how does this square with the old saw of "you have to drive around the world twice... backwards....etc. before a newly loaded tune is ready to go"?

Weird but I went from getting 12-13 mpg to 14-15 mpg on 37s with the 5.29 beta. I ain’t complaining tho.

I've been wondering this too. People in this thread reference loading different beta tunes all the time, but I've never been able to find files other than 19800.

The old versions are taken down from the beta page when the newer ones are added.

True, but Mat has said that it's OK for people with beta tune files no longer available on the OVTune website to share them with others. If you (the royal you) ask here, I'll bet someone has a copy of the 19770 tune for your particular ECU

Thanks for the insight, but at this point, I figure I'll just wait for 2.0 final.

I have 2017, TRDOR, stock, 265/75/16. Truck searches for gears or stays in 3rd & 4th way too long. I'm getting one I just don't which one to get, so much info on this thread.:angrygirl: My transmission update I was told from Toyota was tsb-0077-16. So if I wait for the 2.0 final, I should be golden:burnrubber:? Plug, tune, and play? All tech aside, Handheld or kit? My tires are E rated.

If I were to do it now I would go with the HH and eliminate the need for a license tied to a single computer. Since I have the old school dongle kit I still don't have to be tied to a single computer, but I expect to have to upgrade at some point.

I like my plug in kit and have already had to use the usb tactrix cable with techstream to perform other things outside of tuning. re programing TPMS sensors, etc. which is a nice added bonus.

I asked before but got no answer. I have a 2017 PRO taco with TSB 0062-18 dealer installed but need to check. Looking to get the OVTune HH kit. Of all the tunes available, which one should I get/install? 1.05 or 2 Beta? I have stock gears with 32.5" E rated tires truck lifted 3" with Icon shocks. I only drive on pavement (no off road) and looking to get the truck a bit faster/powerful from the stand still. Once I reach 40+MPH the truck moved OK but from the stop to go is sluggish.
