The beta isn't as snappy, and performance tunes are very enjoyable on the road. It will correct all you lost with the heavy E-rated

 

Everything's subjective. My advice would be to try both 1.05 and the 2.0 beta and see what works best for you. My truck is my daily commuter, I also have E-series tires, and I found the tip-in on the 1.05 performance tunes to be very problematic in rush hour stop and go traffic. They lasted less than a week for me. 2.0 is much better IMO.

 

I have a very similar setup and think that the 19770 2.0 beta tune is better than the 1.05 performance tunes. You will love it. Just PM me and I’ll send you the file when you are ready.

Why not? Mat gave the practice his blessing for 2.0 beta files. I doubt he'd have done that if he thought there would be major problems. Just make sure ECUs match and the recipient has applied any necessary TSBs.

Anybody have 19770 for a 2019 AT 04B31 to share?

 

I actually have that file. My brother has a 2019 on 04b31 and I downloaded it for him. It is a 91 octane tune.

19770 was a quick drop before a ton of people started complaining about the tip in.

Yeah, you had to keep up back then when Mat was initially tweaking 2.0

19770 is good for street driving but not appropriate for offroad use (especially 4 lo). The tip in is too agressive for techinical driving.

I have 19770 for 04B31 if you still need it but it looks like my boy @PapaRee (National Champ!) already offered.
None of the betas have any issue with the dreaded brake override malfunction some of us lucky ones experienced with 1.05/1.05.1. It was an issue with the throttle tables and TSS and the millimeter wave radar (that acts directly on the throttle) that was causing the issue from what I have gathered. Terrifying fault. Mat has is all sorted out.

 

I like a fast tip in, but I also have a commander so I can change it at will.

Any idea if this tune has the same redline issue the latest 2.0 has? When I goose it to get up to speed on the freeway on ramp I hit the rev limiter and the truck falls flat on its face for 2-3 seconds while it recovers. Very dangerous! It only does it if I forget to lift for a sec at 5.5k.

 

You mean does the rev limiter do what it's supposed to do.......yes.
