Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

The rev limiter works just fine, I'm sure he's wondering if the older build shifts before it hits the rev limiter and falls flat on it's face. In which case the answer is no, it has the same issue.

 

Mat mentioned an issue with fuel pump controller logic and hence fuel pressure issues under high fuel draw. He was working on writing his own pump control tables iirc.
Mine takes a bit of a shit above 6k too. There were also some recalls for both high and low pressure fuel pumps.

 

Exactly. An automatic gear box should never find the rev limiter without being in GL. I guess I’ll wait for the final.

I was wondering how the Commander worked with OVTune. I already have the Commander installed in my rig! Good info thanks!

 

Believe It was recommended to not run the commander and ovtune in conjunction as the ovtune changes the pedal sensitivity.

 

some people like a device made in China between their accelerator and ecu so they don’t have to push down as hard

2019 Tacoma (late 2018 build) TRD Offroad A/T. 04B30 ECU. I flashed the 91 Octane 2.0 Beta. Base tune is great! However, when I switch to performance tune (press the ECT button) the truck will no longer downshift after I get up to highway speed. I have not been using S mode so the switch back from S to D with the ECT pressed is not the issue. Anybody else seeing this problem? A search of this tread didn't turn up anything obvious. I've had a Zendesk request in for a couple of days, but thought I would check here also.

This isn't the final 2.0 so there is no map switching when you press ECT. IIRC, pressing the ECT engages Gearlock which wont allow you to downshift when not in S mode.
