    Also, the A/T’s I’m running are 12lbs lighter than the M/T’s I previously had. Same size but huge difference in power.

    Hence 8” rear is pointless. Even if you don’t tow the OR is a better option for the $ just for the diffs

    I am hoping someone can help me understand what TechStream does. I feel like I have read a few things and its just gets confusing. It seems like it either resets the truck, or resets the tune. I just don't know which, and I feel like I have read a few different takes on it.

    Anyone have a link to a good description, or maybe explain it here.

    much appreciated

    Techstream is the diagnostic tool that Toyota uses. You can use it to program, read or clear various settings of the truck.

    Briefly, it’s a tool used by Toyota to access the car and change certain settings. It’s not part of, or required by the tune. It can however, reset some of the learned values of the truck and in some cases clear some bad behavior that *should* work itself out albeit over a longer time.

    The post I quoted was regarding the *current* inability to make the selected tune persistent after a power cycle. Until Mat finds a way to access non-volatile memory to maintain state, all tune switching methods have the same issue.

    In for .001" incremental selections, so as my tires wear I can tune for exactly where they are now :p

    J/K, I agree, 1" increment are MORE than fine!

    Matt. I have a carista obd. In the menu it has options for remember last or return to default for the cruise radar distance. Idk if that helps but its somewhere to start.

    That has to do with the radar cruise recall and how Toyota wouldn't perform the work if folks were lifted or had an a/m grille. They simply set it to off and it would persist unless the owner changes it.

    Matt was looking for code. Code that has a remembered setting written in code could corrillate with the code he is looking for.

    Wow, 35" wheels. I can't imagine how big the tires might be on 35" wheels.

    @OVTune
    I had sent a few emails to the zendesk trying to get an answer unsuccessfully, so I figured I'd ask here (ticket number 10675). I order the tablet around Labor Day of last year and received the tablet around the end of October, only to end up being unable to use the tune due the OFT 10003 error with the tablet. Unfortunately, I have a 2019 OR auto and fall into the category of folks who are still waiting for the engineers to fix this bug. In communication with your team I have been given the option to send back the tablet and receive the flash kit as a substitution. I have been dying to get this tune since I purchased back in September of 2019 and was on the fence about ordering this until the tablet came out which is why I ended up pulling the trigger. Given the amount of time (almost 6 months) I have been waiting and it still unclear how much longer I must wait- is there any way i can swap this tablet out for the flash kit then once the handhelds have been resolved I would receive the "tuner flash kit accessory"? I suppose this would be no different than if I had bought the tune earlier then bought the tuner flash kit accessory later in another transaction. If not, what would the difference in cost be to me?
