@lapoltba Thank you for the quick reply. Sorry may you please explain what you mean by revision matches? I don't have my personal laptop in front of me or I'd look to see if I could figure this out first.

04B02 is the calibration revision. When Toyota has a TSB update, they flash your ECM and that number changes. As long as you are loading the OVtune file for the same revision you are fine.

As mentioned above, you should really do the TSB yourself. It's not too difficult.

@lapoltba I am going for it and trying to do this O4B04 update with Techstream. Huge thanks for sharing your download for it. I used the techstream act to get a activation key. I used the na one per your instructions and then clicked ok. All thats happening is it deletes the key I put in and nothing really happens. Please see screenshot below. Any idea what I need to do from here?

might want to update your "location" data = there are some who will help you move from 04b02 to 04b04 if you are near by (posted in the signature of lapoltba post)

I tried that and it brings me here but I didn't see anything in the instructions with login info. I tried a random login without any luck.

Make sure you are selecting the correct version in the key generator and the correct region. You need to enter garbage info and select region info in TS before you put in the key if i remember correctly.

Hmmm I did all of the following. I just tried again by clicking both OK (no luck) and software registration which brought me to the login and again failed attempt to login since I don't have a username or password. There's definitely a chance I'm doing something wrong but pretty sure I followed direction exactly.

Typing your ID (763E7486e4fc38677616311a12335100) into the keygen on my end gives me this for NA:

see you added your location - I now know why you can't get your dealer to help - they are a poor excuse for a dealer. Hopefully you will get the software figured out - if not go back to your joke of a dealer with the TSB in hand and tell them you experience all the symptoms when going over Wolf Creek Pass and no VIN is required for a TSB to be preformed. TSB-0062-18 for 04b04 can be found on this thread or in the sticky section for gen3. GL.

No luck with the NA you generated unfortunately. Sorry I'm confused with what keygen is. Is the techstream act the same thing? I just exited out of that window and continued with the instructions. I'm here now but not sure which dropdown to use. Also thanks for all your help and I apologize for blowing up this thread with questions.

@GoldenBrew Ya they were a pain. I tried explaining this to them and they wouldn't do anything even though my buddy had his 2016 updated there. Difference being he actually bought his brand new from them. Mine was used from a private seller.

that is still a bunch of BS - I get it - they suck. It is still a Toyota and per the regulations it says "all Toyota" and does not exclude second hand purchases. Hope you get the software up and running.
