I'll chime in and say that i was going to sell my truck this year, i hated the way it drove. I thought i just wasn't used to the mt when i bought it and assumed i would get used to it, boy was i wrong.

I gave ovt a try and while it was better on 1.05 it still sucked. I saw a glimmer of hope with 2.0 coming and decided i would hold off and see what it had.

After around 200 miles on 2.0 I can now say i love this truck. I liked everything about it before except driving it (that's the main purpose). The last 2 days I've looked forward to driving it. 2.0 made it happen.

It shifts smooth because the throttle is predictable, the power is there instantly now without feeling like unmashed potatoes. It hasn't bucked one time or felt like the truck was humping me while laughing.

I hope the AT version hits for you guys very soon, it's worth it.

I'm pretty much hoping for a similar experience with the AT tune.
    This transmission sucks.
If it doesn't solve it, truck is gone... Been waiting for this tune to determine if it stays or goes.

    Awesome!!!!!
Adaptive Cruise Control is something a lot of us 2018+2019+2020>>> Tacoma owners really like.
Utilizing ACC and not having the Tune disabled will be great and worth the wait.

That is how I understand it.
So if I am thinking correctly, no way to lock out 5th or 6th gear while towing (prevent truck from shifting to 5th or 6th), except by using gear lock, right? And using gear lock means doing all the up shifting ourselves....

Or am I off my rocker?

If this is how it works, I'd assume putting it in s4 with ect on will be tow mode and prevent it from going into 5th and 6th gear. But I don't think we will know for sure until the blog is posted.

ECT is a button not a toggle switch. Not much I can do about it. I have found a way for the ECU to default to ECT when the truck is started, but the "ECT" won't illuminate on the dash, and when you press the button and the ECT does illuminate, the ECT would be "off." So that is just ugly in my opinion, confusing, and not gonna do it.
Shipping estimates I don't have right now. Waiting on 3rd batch of cables, arriving this week. If you need to hold, send us an email.

I have a solution for adaptive cruise.

We also have about 200+ tickets come in over the weekend after 2.0 MT released so please be patient waiting for a response, we will get to you.
