The radar issue was for all 2018 and 2019. This was also the only issue that the 2019 model had. No other recall, no other campaign, no other TSB.
Also, most 2019s didn’t actually have any real world issues with their radar system. Only a select minority.

There are several unofficial issues. These come directly from owners who report to me, or reports / complaints online.
    1. faulty throttlebodies
    2. brake over-ride (without tune)
    3. stumbling / torque converter (exact same problem as everyone else has had since this truck came out)
    4. shifting issues, of course

were these complaints from 2019 owners and nobody else? If not, then it wasn’t a 2019 model specific issue.

I can see that it looks like I’m upset and/or arguing with you. I promise I’m not.

I’m just trying to make a point that the 2019 has no known issues that are specific only to the 2019 model as far as recalls and TSBs.
As far as the tune goes, I don’t know. That is def your department.

1 and 2 are. Brake over-ride, there are reports on older models too but it's pretty rare, and usually when something is actually broke.

Torque converter, shifting is just a general issue of this truck.

Right, there is not that many "official" issues with the truck per Toyota.
Per actual truck owners, that's a different story.

Regardless all brake override issues must be solved or at least confirmed it's not tuning related, before 2.0 can be fully released.
2018,2019,2020 tunes are virtually the same.
Give them all the same tune, 2019s, only 2019s, brake over ride. Take that, add it to brake over rides happening without tune, leads me to believe there is an undiagnosed hardware problem.

We thought it was solved with 2.0 beta, with 2019s just requiring a different throttle tune (why, good question) but now someone had it happen on 2.0 beta.

I really think it's not related to the tune, as 2018s, 2020 tunes are the same and it does not happen on them.

This only seems to affect about 10 percent of 2019s

@OVTune - if you are still needing stock tire/gear 04B04 testers my ticket (#13409) is still out there from when you were looking for folks. 2016 and just chugging along on a prior beta....

wow! After reading the last four pages of posts I really feel for the '19 owners with the AT option. Can't imagine the frustration they are experiencing. Yes get pissed and take it out on Toyota - call corporate and file a complaint. Knowing this there is no way I would purchase a new model in AT. Fortunately, or not, I got in the game from the beginning of the 3rd Gen release with a '16 AT and Mat's work has made this truck awesome. I'm good with the Beta tune (04b04 0944 4.88)I am running now, but like the rest I am looking forward to the 2.0 final. Thanks Mat @OVTune !

At least the truck is not a Ford/Ram/Chevy... just go take a look at those factory recall shenanigans.

Man, I keep reading posts that make it seem as if the 3-4 gear short shift is a ‘19 problem. @OVTune Is this going to be improved across the board or just ‘19’s?

Here’s your last post about it. If the quick/short shift to fourth isn’t what is being discussed in the posts that preceded the one I’ve quoted, then what are they talking about and how does it differ from “3-4 short shift” as I call it. And how did your statement answer my question?

Shifting is completely redesigned on 2.0, which should fix this for all trucks, all years.

I dunno, maybe I'm the single '19 owner that does not have these major complaints. I know exactly what to expect from my truck's transmission and really have no complaints understanding, of course, that the 2-3 and 3-4 shits are boggy and the TC dynamics not optimal. Will take a look at 2.0 when the dust settles but its not like I'm not enjoying my truck.

mat, i have a later build 19, production date is july (i believe, not near me at the moment). i havent had the brake overide message stock, or on 1.05, 1.05.1, or 2.0 beta. i have had your kit since around christmas. no other issues, other than the short 3-4 gear shift. if you need another tester, i would be glad. have have datalogged for tuning my 5.3l gmc sierra, and several sportbikes for street, and race trim. i have about 6000 miles on my 19, about 5000 of those are with your tune kit. i drive back and forth to work about 20 miles round trip but, i highway drive about 1000-1500 per month to a vacation home up north. i am grateful for what you are doing. keep up your good work. some of us really appreciated it. Thanks. Please send a message to zendesk if you haven't.

Also for all 2019 owners reading, this only seems to affect about 10 percent of the 2019s, maybe less.

So most likely your truck is issue free, but it's happening enough that we have to continue investigation.
