I had to purge local data to get it to let me access the new tunes. If you want to keep copies of the old ones make sure you save them somewhere!

It also failed on my first try.
I downloaded then went out to flash and received the following error.
I purged local data, then re-installed all software then re-installed the drivers then updated again.
Then had to add the drivers and FM.exe to the white list in the antivirus again.
After that I closed the FM and went through the flash process again.
    Loving the new beta.
It says wrong ecu selected in the logs even though it wasn't that was something I did before the initial flash. I was looking into something else and cancelled out of the menu.

Sheltered at home, finally flashed 2.0. Reset LT and AT. My first flash.

Neighbors complained so I put my pants back on and went for a 40 min. spin.
Holds 5th and 6th like it never did before. Much more low end power. Weird downshifts at speed, but means nothing until it settles in.

    Thank you Matt!!! Awesome!

Dear Mat, thank you so much for releasing the 2019 2.0 beta tune today! What a pleasant surprise! You are doing an awesome job of staying on top of this. I can't imagine all the file types and the tuning that you are going through. You are going above and beyond for this TacomaWorld community! A community that I just jumped in, yet feel right at home (thanks guys!) Thank you, Mat! Thank you, thank you! I'll report back when I get a chance to drive my truck. As a matter of fact, this tune brings hope in a world that is currently on lockdown. Thanks to you, I can't wait to get outside and drive my truck! Best to you! Stay healthy! We may need you for future "tune" updates. LOL

Then I reset the LV and AT.

The only thing that has been a little wonky so far is the auto high beams. They seem very sensitive now and go to LB when driving by signs and house lights where they never did before. I doubt it was tune related, but maybe due to the LV or AT reset somehow. Not a game changer it just makes me look like I can't decide if I want the low or high beams on. I didn't get a change to test the radar cruise control yet, the regular CC worked without issue. Everything else has been great.

Thanks for the new beta, it's like a new truck again.

Question (unrelated to 2019 stuff). I flashed to 91 2.0 beta (19800/04B04) Friday night after having 2.0 87 beta on a few days before. This was only my 2nd flash, and following my first flash after getting the kit last week. Should I reset the LV or AT values? I never clicked those when doing my first flash so to my knowledge they never would have been cleared for the last 4 years. Is that something that would be recommended? I didn't see much on it in the how to video, though I could have missed it.

Otherwise, loving it! Though it does have a bit of a quick 3 to 4 shift even on my 2016 when merging on the highway so I have to stab the throttle to get it back to 3rd and wrap back out a bit before going back to 4th again. The ability to go down the highway in 5th/6th is fantastic and I went from tank avg of 15 to 17 already, even got a trip in at 23 MPG, never seen that number before! Even when it was new.

Mat has said previously that it’s not necessary unless you’re having issues.
It’s not something you should be doing all the time because it makes your ECU have to start from scratch which can be hard on the motor. I’m no expert, just passing on what I’ve heard as well as what I’ve learned while doing my own research.

If you’re going backwards in tunes or going from a high performance tune to a lower performance tune it IS a good idea because you don’t want your ECU to have to figure that out on the fly. That’s where it starts to become excessively hard on your engine.

What is exactly excessively hard? Could you elaborate?
