I can't speak to the 2019, but my 2020 OR with 33s shifts noticeably better than my 2018 OR with the exact same suspension and tires did, especially with ECT engaged. This is running the stock code. Toyota changed something in the 2020 AT, that's for sure. After loading the 2.0 beta Mat provided for my 2020 for a few weeks, I actually flashed back to stock because I like it a little better. I'm hoping that 2.0 final for the 2020 will be much more of an improvement.

Im with you on that. I did the exact same thing for my 2019. The stock tune is better. I just wanted to make sure it wasn’t in my head. Also hoping big that the 2.0 final is much better than the Beta

    In progress.... And getting better!
This is a great question. I have already had to load the tune set up on a different computer and really like the fact that I just need my dongle and I’m good to go. No need to contact OVTune for any assistance. OG Dongler all the way here.

@OVTune so theoretically, with the vf tuner I can get an aftermarket intake and exhaust and attempt to properly tune the truck to optimize performance?

Wait til it’s released in a month or so and mat details the process. There’s a bunch of us that will be doing it.

Somewhere around late August 2019. This was the 3rd 2.0 beta release, coming before 19770 and 19800.

Would it be possible for you to supply us wirh the values that you used for 19800. If so I would be interested in vF just to change out the throttle settings.

You are very correct. Some people don’t seem to get that driving by wire, in general and specifically regarding throttle position, gives you infinitely more control than a mechanical (cable) linkage. With a cable, it can be loosened or tightened, but the opening linearity (or lack thereof) is determined by the geometry of the pulley that the manufacturer chose. You are locked it.

Thanks for trying to clear up this persistent misconception.

I did not add the axis because it's not so easy to understand.
The axis is the calculation of Optimal torque model (Engine) + Full throttle torque Model (WOP), divide by 2, then this value is calculated as % of 100% torque
    (e+w)/2 = x ((x/T*100)/T)

I third that. The 2019 stock feels a bit better than the 19800 and 2019 betas. The nicer thing about the 2019 beta is the lack of the jump from 5th or 6th to 3rd when hitting the gas on highway uphill. When flooring the 2019 beta, it’s doesn't sound like you’re killing the truck. That said, it doesn’t really fly uphill either. We’ll see what the 2.0 final gives. Hoping that the ECT performance version helps.
I am pleased the 2019 beta gave me pretty good mpg (18 mpg) driving over the Oregon coastal range on a narrow pass. My truck has a rack and buncha gear in back so I’m never gonna get manufacturer mpg claims.
