If you changed laptops since you initially sent your System ID, you have to send Mat your new System ID and apply the new registration file he sends back.

Anytime a system ID changes (New laptop, new OS) you’ll have to re-authenticate the software.

based on all the fresh updates and web page layouts on Mat's homepage I'd say the answer to us is "see you later." obviously the TT and vF Tuner Software are now his priority. 2.0 final - still in the light but dimming fast.

I mean, I get it. He's setting himself up for a long-term, successful business model. However, I will admit that I've gotten a bit disgruntled after hoping for a Christmas release, then seeing the final MT release, then getting the old switch-a-roo with a new 2019 beta after seeing chatter about potentially releasing 2.0 final for 2016-2018, then getting the surprise vF tuner announcement which somehow cause mass confusion/hysteria within Tacoma World.

I'm patient, and I don't mind waiting for a good product, but I wish that expectations had been managed better during the past few months.

I did my best. It's honestly not that easy to manage expectations here, although I know that is my fault, I get excited sometimes about what I work on, and share it too quickly. I pulled the release because I didn't feel it was finished, and I don't want to have to do it again.
the 2019 new files were already planned, due to issues on them that aren't even related to the final 2.0 but due to those specific files.
I said I could release for the older ECUs, but I have decided not to. It's just going to cause more confusion, more problems.

I know it's all fun and games in here most of the time but the casual consistent trolling just gets old.
Also, once again to remind everyone, 2.0 will still be available for ATs when finished.

Yeah he asked about 30 hours ago so it looks like 2 day turnaround in these times. I'll get it figured out eventually. Thanks for the help though.

Thank you for the response Mat @OVTune I appreciate that you did your best! As a new Tacoma owner, I am also waiting excitedly/patiently. Purchasing the Flash kit was one of the first things I got for the truck because it sounds so amazing, and was hoping it would be a quick turnaround for a license. But, as you say the world has changed in the last few weeks.

I followed the steps on the website instructions and sent my truck ID# generated from the software, but I haven't received a response to my zendesk #13605 inquiry from Mar 12, or the email from last week sent April 1st.

I understand that you probably have a large influx of messages coming through if you could please confirm that I am on the list to receive a license that would be great! Thanks again! Dan.

Any idea if the vF tuner will work on new Supra? Or is that ECU also more BMW than Toyota/Lexus?

Is it because of the issues with 2019 trucks that the release is pushed out or did you identify something else you wanted to improve upon? Im all for improvements...

I hate to say it because I do not like to be critical of matts work but I agree with you about the throttle tip-in.

it does suck to read this, with all the tip in debate I figured i'll leave the first few mm same as stock, but everyone is telling me it's worse than stock.

I do not remember much of the stock tip-in because I its been atleast a year since I have not been running one of your tunes, but this tip-in definitely feels different from the rest. The "dead-pedal" is most noticeable when starting from a stop, but I have also noticed over the last few hundred miles on the new beta that it is harder for me to get the truck to downshift from 6 to 5 on the highway on a section of road where I know it needs to do that to stay at speed.

Like I said I really hate to be critical because I appreciate your hard work on this final tune, let me know if there would be anything I can do to help.

Matt, I’ve got 484 miles on the reg 5.29 beta for 04b31. I do think that the tip in is stock-ish, but as others are stating, it is less responsive that stock at that point. Not super frustrating, but it does require a deeper press of the pedal to get the truck to get going. I’m on 285s and my truck is also at approx. 900lbs heavier than stock. I don’t think the tune is bad, but if there is a middle ground between what the previous tune (tip-in) was and the current beta is, I don’t think it would be a bad idea to try it out.
